Thats him! Good write ups ive read from him.

And isnt 3D water based? Figured it wouldnt be oily then. Might be having a brain fart though lol

Yep, he gave GREAT insight into the Flex / Menzerna combo!

I remember hearing that water based doesn't mean no oil. And vice versa. Their wipe off is unique though. Upon the initial section, where I load the pad with three or four dots, the first wipe struggles to remove it all. But the second wipe does the job. The following section I may not even reload with a 3D polish like ONE, AAT502, or ACA520. I'll brush out the pad, tap the pad on the paint to check moisture content, and if there is enough polish present I continue. The wipe off when I do that, or reload minimally is a breeze. Night and day difference.

As already mentioned in this thread, keep the pads clean and I found with soft paint less product works better. I got best results priming with 3-4 dots then reloading with 2.

Towels I use are TRC 365 edgeless.

That's my default. I bought a case of the blue 365's after I tried a couple. It was the towel I had been searching for. That and the Pearl for wiping off liquid wax, sealants, or Gloss Coat. Very happy with them!
