Hey everyone,

Well I started my mobile detailing business late last year and have slowly built it up since then. Business has been up and down the whole way through. It had always been a big goal of mine to start a detailing business and was happy to get it going. An unexpected slow summer forced me to get a daytime job. Of course now that I have a decent full time job, the calls are coming in. More than what I can handle on the weekend but not enough for me to risk quitting again. I dont want to give up on the business but I cannot quit my daytime job right now.

So I've been throwing around the idea of hiring an employee to handle the weekday jobs while im at work. I would take the customer calls and schedule, then give him the customer info and let him do the work. I know that finding good help is hard these days and it inherently adds risk to myself and business. Anyone had any experience with this situation? I know that IF i found a trust worthy person to hire, I would need to invest more money, get insurance, etc. It may be tough but I dont want to give it all up just like that.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks AGO:xyxthumbs:

you dont want an employee, contract the work out.. pay them a portion you both agree on

I think it's to early for that

work around your schedule.. work more hours if you have to

it's great that you want to hire someone else.. I'm all for it

Just not yet though

you may need at least 1 month with him so he knows what chemicals you use , and what`s your standard and technique.
trust is not enough , he has to have the eye and be motivated.
