Advice on new paint.

Hello everone. I am new to the forum. I have a 1 month old black range rover sport. When I first got it I just washed with pinacle and waxed using the soveran. This week it was nice in Jersey so I washed, pre-waxed with the cleansing lotion the applied Klasse glaze. It was very har to get off until I used the CM to help with removal. Then the next day i i used cm to get the dust off because I dont have a garage or a cover yet. Then I applied 1 more coat of KSG. Now it a snow storm in Jersey. So my ? was could I have applied the soveran right after the 1st or 2nd coat or do i have 2 wait the 12 hours? Also can I use a glaze over the ksg then the carnuba to add pop. If so which is the best for black paint. I just want to keep this baby looking good. The shine was also a different kind of shine the the soveran. Any advice would help. Also how often can I use the pinacle lotion? It really brought out a shine that was beeter then whenI 1st got it. Thank You.

The paint cleansing lotion will remove whatever existing waxes or sealants you have on your car, so don't use it unless you were planning to take everything off and re-apply.

The sealant will need to fully cure before adding your wax.

You can use a glaze on top of the SG and before the Souveran, although it's really not necessary. If you do use a glaze, you have to be very careful that it doesn't contain cleaners or abrasives that will remove your SG.

I love the XMT carnauba finishing glaze coupled with Souveran, but I wouldn't use it on top of a sealant because it does contain some cleaners. But it is a winning combination on it's own if you wanted to go that route when you're ready to take the SG off.

Here's a detail I did with XMT polishes, the XMT carnauba finishing glaze and Souveran paste wax. Good luck with your new range rover and welcome to the forums.

I agree with FloridaNative, the XMT line gives you a really nice shine...deep and wet looking shine.

Bigguns, this was my neighbor's car. It is 8 years old and was in horrible shape when I got it. Bird poop etchings everywhere and clear coat failure in several places. I used XMT 3 and XMT 1 with the PC and then the XMT carnauba finishing glaze and then Souveran paste for my LSP.

Here's the half and half shot so you can see what the XMT can do (and also what I had to work with!! )

That's incredible....I'm hooked! It just so happens that I picked up some XMT1 & 3 today . I'm going to use that and Wolfgang high gloss sealant and top it off with MAx Wax.

You got some high quality stuff there. You won't be disappointed. I always take a digital kitchen timer out with me when I polish. I put 5 minutes on the clock and start the clock when I kick the PC into high gear. It helps me to keep track of the time and to make sure the polish has fully broken down. I love Wolfgang. I can't wait to see your pics. Happy detailing.
