I have found that FG400 is a poor choice on single stage paints

It tends to gum up and be difficult to wipe off

Have you used these products on SS paints with success?

I'm still new to detailing but I can chime in on the belts on this vehicle, I have an 83 944 as well but my paint is original and 100% dull so I just keep the windows clean.

As far as the belt, go with the GATES, that Kevlar is a stronger belt but it's replacement intervals are the same as the non-Kevlar belt. I have owned my 944 since 02 and have replaced about everything so if you need any advice or best places to get info for it just pm me. It's a dam fun car, not super fast but it loves corners
