Weather here has been pretty bad so i dont have the best shots possible. But it does give you a good idea as too how well the menzerna polishes work. Im was so impressed that i have dreams about detailing cars now lol. The before pictures i used a friends camara, but for the after i used a lil special one i got as an early christmas present.

I used a porter cable 7424 with an orange(SIP), white(Nano), and red(sealent) LC pads

What size pads did you use?

I used 5.5 in pads, which worked out great, but i really think i might go to 4in in the future ...since it would be easier to work around objects and they work alil quicker

next time i post pics, ill be sure to have better shots and better organization. First time posting all those was harder than taking my Economics final exams hahah

Hey thanks for the info! I'm detailing an Audi next week too and I've got pretty much the same setup except the pads. BTW, yours look fanstastic!

hey thank you very much, wat kind of audi are you detailing??? I had hoped on kinda making alil profit from my investment(pads, polishes,polisher..etc). Now im just guessin, but are you doin it for pay??? Im gettin ready to get out of school for winter break and i figured why not make money doing something like this.

Nice work on the TT!

I use Menzerna SIP (orange 5.5" LCC pad) and Micro Polish (white or green pad) on my Tornado Red 2003 Jetta. I use Pinnacle Souveran Paste as an LSP in the summer and the liquid in the winter. In addition to daily driving my car in Pittsburgh (harsh winter conditions), I also track the car about 10 times a year - so I get all sorts of odd stuff hitting my hood - sometimes at over 135mph. VW AG cars have harder clearcoat and the Menzerna products work quite well on correcting that which needs to be corrected.

Hey Thank You!
Ohh now i bet that tornado red looks great on that car(especially after a nice coat of Souveren Paste ;). Mine is a daily driver too, but unlike you, ive never had any track time. I bet you have your work cut out for you when you have to detail it after a day on the track lol. Love to see your ride sometime. Are you on teh Vwortex forum? I dont think i spelled it right lol

Like any black car, red is really hard to keep up with. One nice thing about this forum (and AutoGeek in general), is that you find products that work through the posts of others. My post-event regimen utilizes a decent amount of Stoner's Tarminator followed by a re-wax. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it (and it's fun!).

I'm on Vortex (collins_tc is my username) - here's a link to pictures the car:

Looks great. What machine did you use? Which Menz polishes did you use?

I used the good ol' Porter Cable 7424 with Menz SIP/Nano + Top Inspection. Of course there was plenty of other stuff like wax and sealent too
