i lost count how many hours were spent driving and working in the +100 degree heat.

my "team" is MIA today, so i'm to hold things together while they get to recoup.

went to bed last night before 8pm.

feeling like my eyes would do their best covered for another 6-8 hours.
next time.. the wife is driving and i'll snore in the passengers seat.

so what was your weekend like?

wow! i took friday off too, so i had a 4 day weekend. i am sitting here wondering where the hell did it go? it was all good tho. got some detailing in. had nerf bars installed on the canyon. awesome cookout. planted flowers at my parents grave. did a few fireworks. watched a lot of fireworks. won a $100 friday for detail stuff. drank many budweisers on all 4 of the nice summer evenings. all history now. back to the grind at 3pm.

This past weekend is going to cost me a bit of money. I haven't had to pay for any of these issues.... yet.

Friday night we had a storm. The wind blew over our $500 grill, causing quite a few large dents in the rear of the hood. We just moved to this house 3 week ago, so 2 weeks ago I polished out the entire (stainless steel) grill.

I had a 10 year old pair of Oakley sunglasses that I didn't really intend to replace, but one of the arms broke in half.

Our vacuum cleaner only runs for 5 minute increments and shuts off, so I'll probably end up with a new vacuum as opposed to messing with it. We'll see how much motivation I have with that.

Found a leak in the laundry room utility sink drain. This won't cost much in money or time, but still irritating.

Our computer found its last leg. The fan runs constantly and now runs a hair slower than snail pace. It's 7 years old so it did serve its purpose.

But, all of that disappeared this morning when I pulled my freshly detailed car out of the garage and drove into work. There's something about driving a freshly waxed car that throws all of your troubles away.

washed and waxed the truck Thursday night. Collinite 845

thoughts were if any ash fell from the skyward explosions, the paint would have a bit of defense. one stop was several miles down a gravel road.

make it home last night around 4pm with scattered thunder storms, so getting a quick wash in appeared to be a waste of time.

driving the truck today looking like i just finished running an escort service during the Baja 500.

tonight i plan to :buffing: a bit
