aftermarket wheels: like it, love it, or hate them?

One little touch for the R/T would be changing the badge from the one on your car to the one that's red trimmed in chrome, like that retro look. Maybe add one in the grill, debadge the other logos.

The first set of OEM wheels I've liked (and kept) are the ones on my new F-150. They look really sharp.

As for my MINI? I ditched the boat-anchor OEMs for some light, trackable ones.

And yes, I am a black wheel fan :dblthumb2:

I always thought the wheels on the 93 Mustang Cobra looked awesome for a factory wheel, back when 17's were BIG, LOL! On the flip side were the 93 Mustang Cobra R, those 3 spokes (in gloss back mind you) didn't compliment such a rare car, fail...IMHO!

I'm an aftermarket wheel fan myself. They're probably the cheapest and easiest way to make a car your own. I was all giddy when I finally put wheels on my truck. If done correctly they can be nice. Then again they can make a car look hideous with the wrong wheel. I like simple clean wheels. Nothin too busy or wild.
Before: (as it sits right now for winter)

I like the wheels you picked JAF06SE :xyxthumbs:

I have the original wheels on the car for winter, and aftermarket for spring/summer.
Funny, the OEM wheels are super expensive, yet they are my "winter wheels"
I actually plan on having them refinished this year... when I bought the car the clear had peeled. i thought about ditching them, but they are really nice, and I couldn't find a set of alternate wheels I liked to replace them.

Got you brother. No worries. I will be busy all spring prepping most of these tuner cars for shows.

Those are nice wheels. Simple, yet elegant. The curved ends of the spokes flow into each other, looking graceful, while also avoiding an area that would be difficult to clean because it would otherwise be a right angle where dust would accumulate.

The color looks like titanium.
The only little problem are the bolts around the rim.
Part of me would want a center cap to make it even cleaner looking and easier to clean for the street, and to deter theft, but if you are going racing, I think not.

Thanks for your kind words. Actually the center caps are being custom made. I will update the thread as soon as we have them mounted and finished. These are actually going on a show car instead of a race car.

There are done oem wheels that look good.
On my newest car -wheels were my first upgrade (other than polishing)
