AIO durability and correction

So I'm going to finish my 3n1 then just go with Essense. People who I usually do AIOs on is usually looking for a correction/swirl removal more than protection. If they were they would pay for a single polish and seal package. I usually tell people to top it after a month or so with a wax of their choice but usually I recommend Meg's ultimate wax because it's available everywhere. As far as the 3n1, I do like it but sometimes it's hard for me to remove. I usually have to use 2 towels to remove per panel.

My question is: Why use an All-in-one if you are gonna top it with a wax or sealant? Why not use a dedicated polish?

I don't know the durability of AIOs, I use D151 and I tell my client it offers 1 to 3 months protection depending on conditions the vehicle will be exposed to.

It would be nice to have some sort of durability chart for LSPs like we have for aggressiveness of polishes and compounds. Would make our lives way easier I think. Maybe someone at Autogeek could make one?

I have Meguiars D151. It's a pleasure to work with but as far as durability goes, it simply doesn't last very long.

anyone want to trade AIO samples?

I have Mothers and XMT AIO and I really want to try BF or menzerna.

:iagree:Exactly! I do t know why this process of, "Use an AIO and then top with BrandX," is recommended so much. Makes no sense.

See Red above; and the post below.

As an aside:
"Topping" an AIO with a dedicated LSP, for added
protection/longevity (whether real or perceived),
is probably a procedure or practice that's best left
for an individual's personal preference, IMO.

Thanks bob. Best to read the whole thread right. Anyway like I said if I got a customers car sitting at my house and I'm not busy doing anything I may just put some EXP on it. Just because it's easy and takes 10 to 15 minutes to do.

Speed, Speed, Speed. I have the other two you mentioned. Speed brother :props:

Menz works very well, Speed is more user friendly imho.

Less $$$ too.

I have some Speed that I can't wait to use! Y'all have me excited!

It makes sense to use finish wax on top of AIO for extra protection and better look, but when it comes to paid customers (when time is money) I wouldn't do extra coat of finish wax.

If I did extra coat of finish wax on top of AIO, then I am spending as much time as my stage 2 package, but only getting paid for stage 1 package.
