Who has used these Poorboys products? Can this be a replacement for AIO?

Poorboy's Polish with 100% Carnauba

Sparkie - those Poorboy's polishes have oil fillers in them. Kinda like XMT finishing glaze. What that means is you cannot use them prior to sealant application. Klasse AIO is a chemical cleaner, and it works just fine before an application of carnauba or sealant (although I prefer to seal before an application of carnauba). As far as replacement for AIO - it will really depend on application you will be using it for. It won't work on glass, nor wheels.

Poorboy's Professional Polish has no carnauba in it!

Klasse AIO is really a unique product being a paint cleaner and also leaving some acrylic protection. Honestly, I think the only product that could replace it would have to be the Werkstatt Prime.

Don't know yet!

As far as Poorboys I was told, Polish w/ Carnauba is like AIO on steriods ...if you are going to top it with a Pure Sealant like SG , then I'd use Professional Polish instead.

AIO is a great product.......as there are other great products, i love to experiment with other products also and have done so.....but i think AIO is in a class all by it self.........remarkable product.........

I guess there are two ways of understanding your initial question. I was looking at it from the formulation standpoint as Klasse really is unique, but I wonder if you are wanting to know what other products to try that are quality cleaners like Klasse? There are many excellent paint cleaners, but they won't leave behind that acrylic protection like Klasse. I haven't used the Duragloss #101 yet so I cannot really compare it to Klasse from a users' standpoint, but I have used the Poorboy's pro polish and it is a very good paint cleaner. The Polish w/carnaubas would be a good one step product, but you won't be able to put a sealant on top of it.

But why do you want the Polish w/carnauba?? You can just use the Professional Polish and not have any bonding issues at all. The Pro polish is an excellent cleaner. I would use that and then the bonding agent and sealant rather than the polish w/carnauba. The polish w/carnauba is more of a polish/LSP and that carnauba isn't going to be friendly to your sealants.

Then sealant.

#601 has some cleaning abilitys and is a bonding agent for #105 which is actually the sealant..to enhance durability and claim to leave a better gloss.

The DuraGloss 101 is a strong cleaner....more so than AIO...101 has micro abrasives in it on top of chemical cleaners...

Poorboys PP does have some oils in it and needs a wipedown or wash before topping it...unless you use a caranuba wax..that is my finding..it does a good job....a true cleaner without any sealant or wax should give you a squeaky finish..if not there is something left behind...101 will not leave a squeaky finish as it leaves a sealant behind...

look at it this way...wash your hair and it squeaks....it is clean of oils..add conditioner to your hair it does not squeak...same with paint cleaners..it should leave a virgin finish..no oils....

PwC is not a good choice if you want to add a sealant on top...the wax content will hinder the bonding of a sealant...wax is more of a surface floater as it does not actually crosslink with the paint..it bonds...but not like a sealant does...some waxes now made have a small content of a polymer to help the wax adhere to paint better....some of collinites wax contains polymers combined with caranuba...making it durable...

I have used PwC (original & blue) and Propolish under sealants with no bonding issues.

If there is a concern about oils or filler from any product, a quick IPA wipedown should remove any.

the closest offering to AIO would be the new Optimum Poly-sealant.

Thanks, a lot of outstanding info. DG#101 the more I use it the more I lke. I still fill that AIO dose a better job on glass and plastics, well not sure yet.

AIO contains a microabrasive package too. CL68/JW Prime is the more advanced nano formula, which debuted in 2004 in Frankfurt at the Auto mechanika. The popular Euro-sealant (marketed under too many brand names ;)), the R71 is similar to the CL formula, but less sophisticated.

Maybe the strongest abrasive/sealant package can be found in FK1 215. The Poli-seal contains Optimum's next generation, ultra fine abrasives.

I recently used it on my glass for the first time and was very happy with the results;)
