I had a random thought on durability..:buffing:

Since stand alone durabilty of BFWD is close to six month(est.) and stand alone durability of Blackfire TPnS is close to 2 month or so, would layering a coat of BFWD on top of the TPnS decrease its durability to under 6 month.

So the question is when layer the bottom layer is less durable than top layer what effect will that have on a sealant.

Thanks for the PM about this thread, I didn't see it when it was posted...

A real popular combination for a lot of people is to apply a finishing wax or a finishing sealant over the results from using a cleaner/wax or cleaner/sealant.

My opinion is applying a second coat of anything ensures,

Uniform coverage which equals uniform protection
Uniform appearance, which equals a great looking finish

So "yes" applying BFWD over BTPnS would increase durability. The most important factor for the durability of ANY car wax, synthetic paint sealant or paint coating is how the surface is "touched" down the road.

For example there's a huge difference in how long any protection product will last when a car is carefully hand washed versus run through a brush style automatic car wash.

Thanks Mike. I will be doing my winter prep on one of our cars. Looks like I will not have the ideal weather though.

Chance of Rain:50%Wind: NNW at 10 mph
Humidity:82%
GibbousCloudy with occasional rain showers.
High near 55F.
Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

It's raining pretty hard here today too... I packed a spare set of dry clothes for the trip to work...

Man I miss FL weather... I am from Tampa moved to WV for a couple of years. Will be back year next year :)

Let's say you washed your car, clayed, then used Klasse AIO. How long should you wait to use BlackfireWD over the top?

Most people would apply as soon as they had the excess Klasse AIO wiped off, I know I would.

The reason some people want to wait is that that whatever the magic is that makes the "protection ingredients" in the Klasse AIO or ANY cleaner/wax bond to the paint, well you would want to make sure these protection ingredients are fully adhered to the paint.

Be careful not to take something very simple and make it uber complicated...
