I know that, I thought he was asking if it was the filter I was referring to. Which it wasn't because I was referring to the Amsoil Ea air filter, not the Mann.Chris, the one he posted is an oem paper filter.

If smack says the Mann filter is great for German cars, then go with the Mann.

You cannot clean an OEM type paper filter. You have to replace them after a certain amount of time.
Dont bother blowing it out or vacuuming it. Toss it for a new one of your choice.
If the current filter is dirty/clogged, you are starving your engine of air. Think of it as somebody holding a rag of chloroform over your mouth as you run away...... You won't get far! And neither will your car if you don't do proper maintenence. Replace it NOW
