Air Purging Interior

good idea :props: do you start with interior first so the dirt doesnt blow onto fresh clean paint? I just got my metro master blaster so looking forward to using it for all sorts of jobs.

I did this for the first time with my air compressor last weekend on a trashed interior that had cigarette ash all in it and in the cracks and crevices. It turned out amazing. Why have I never done this before?

I do the same but after vacuum the interior.
Metro blower is very powerful be careful when blow close to the radio and the meters.
For safety I use safety glasses.:props:

I do this as well after the initial vacuum with compressed air, great for getting in all the seat tracks and little cracks

Very interesting.

I don't have a master blaster.

On the other hand my Rigid Pro Pack can blow air, I am not sure if it's powerful enough to do this. Maybe with an attachement that would concentrate the airflow it would be?

Have you guys tried using a Rigid or any other vacuum with an blow port to either do this or dry the paint ? Should I be concerned about dust being draw from Inside the vacuum cleaner to the hose?

check out your other videos on youtube. How do you like the wheel brightener?

This looks like a good idea. I will be wearing safety glasses for sure. In the video the young fellow was squinting as there was stuff flying everywhere.

Not a fan of this technique. It blows way too much stuff way too randomly. I prefer to vacuum loose debris first then use my tornador to expel dirt from carpets and nooks/crannies if needed.

I agree with mark, first a very thorough vacuum, then tornador.

If you don't have a tornador and compressor, I highly recommend it. It is much more thorough at beating the carpet fibers and removing all the nastiness.

Its like a beater bar on steroids! A regular air blower with 150 psi doesn't even compare to a tornador at 90 psi.

Just my 2 cents.

Funny you ask, try this video. Just leave the filter on the vac and it shouldn't be a problem. There will be a little dirt in the hose but it won't be a problem blowing out a dirty interior.

I may be slow, but I do poor work.

Thanks for sharing, great video.

I will have to find that adaptor you are using for attachments and that reducer cone as well. You said it's not designed for the rigid, do you remember what brand it is?

Thanks again!

I've tried every way there is to skin this cat and yes I do own a Tornador and have tried air purging with it. I'm not just blowing randomly, I'm aiming to get it out the door, this is much easier on SUVs and trucks since they don't have a lip at the door.

When I don't do this my average vacuum time is 1-2 hours. When I air purge a car for 10-15 minutes my vac time goes to less then 30 minutes and it typically is more thorough.

The Tornador is a great little machine. I don't use it as much now that I own a steamer but it still has a place in my arsenal. I have found it is not quite what I'm looking for as far as purging as it does just randomly blow the debris every where. The company does make a vac attachment that I nearly bought but for the price I decided to upgrade my vac to the Vac N Blo.

This is great discussion. Like I said there are many ways to get the job done, but this is the most effective for me. Thank you all for the comments.👍

The reducer cone in the video is actually the one I use on the Vac N Blo. I would i try Home Depot, Ridged is their Vac line and the have a large assortment of attachments. I bet they have a blower also. I really suggest the upgraded hose, it's a big improvement over the one that came with the vac.

+1 vp mark

vacuum - tornador - master ( just to blow small dust in the air ).

Sweat the details... glad it works for you! I'm not criticizing just saying I prefer something different. :)
