Thanx for looking guys!

Awesome job like always sir! How many hours did you finally end up putting into the job?

Thanx man! After 200 man hours I quit calculating lol...... A few things threw us off schedule such as: removing the clear was a major pain..... and apparently after '83 the alloy is much denser .... which made it hard to cut into. Learned ALOT from this job, and can't wait to do the next Airstream :dblthumb2:

As in how to refine your method/products?

Or, maybe going rouge?

Did you use the wool pads suggested by Joe?

Did you use the flour trick?

Method : Strip every single inch of clear coat in day one! Leaving any behind poses an issue later on.

Products - no issues at all ..... I stick by Nuvite products

Going Rouge? - Not sure what that means?!?!?!

Wool Pads - I used those available to me on the spot - May make it easier next time around to use the one's Joe suggested, but I used what I had to work with this time around.

Flour trick - not this time...... cleaned up the black residue with IPA and foaming glass cleaner - the same I always used on aircraft leading edges.

Just wondering. Everybody has a particular method.
Excellent results as usual.:props:

Rouge is the brick that almost broke your shin...as you stated several months ago.

I use corn starch instead of flour and have used diesel in the past. Will have to try your method just for kicks. Thanks.
Enjoy your weekend.

LOL - crazy you remember that! Yep, my ankle still hurts if the kids put pressure on it :/ Didn't go that route this time around - spread the product evenly with the makita - no grinder (except on the window linings, but still used nuvite for that). Thanx for the compliment:dblthumb2:

Last comment and I'm out...

Not a fan of aluminum polishes, but after seeing your dedication to NuVite, I'm going to have to make a purchase.

Heck, If I can buy AmorAll, then aluminum polish isn't that far of a stretch.

Happy detailing...:autowash:

Yeah man - check them out..... been using those products for over a long while now - good stuff

Looks good. I've heard those airstreamms are worth some serious coin and no doubt you just added more value.

AAAGHHH, My eyes my eyes!!!!

OUTSTANDING!

I didn't realize that 'egg' was that big, triple axle!

Bill

Awesome turnaround! That Airstream looks brand new. I'm sure the owner was more than amazed how you were able to bring all that shine back.

That looks fantastic Anthony!!! I know you guys were beat down at the end of each day on this one. Incredible turn around and great pictures too.

Were there other motor home owners coming up to you to get you to work on theirs?

Wow!!! It turned from lifeless to chrome!!

Great work! :xyxthumbs:
That amount of amazing polishing needs to be followed by opticoat or similar!

Triple axle yes! This is one of 15 made in the world! VERY big for an airstream!

He said and I quote, " You guys performed a miracle" VERY nice to hear!

What kind of coating did you put back on it?

NADA - Nuvite S grade is sufficient to this client - must be applied every year man :/ BUT, will look better each time applied!

Amazing! Great work, sir!

Thanx man!

Great work as always Anthony. Absolutely amazing turnaround.

Preciate it bro!

WOW - Nicely done - Now that is a turn around!

What was your process/products used?

Strip clear

Cut maybe 5 times

Nuvite c grade two to three times via cyclo

Nuvite S grade once and/or twice via cyclo

We were beat down each day lol.... but no, we were in a private setting - so potential RV owners did not see our work :/ .... but maybe they will now!

That would be great, only the owner already purchased a cyclo and wants to upkeep it himself :/!

:dblthumb2:amazing work! all i got to say about that!
