Ive searched and had no luck finding what I'm looking for. I'm a total newb to cleaning cars. so excuse my ignorance. Ive never really had a nice car so I never put much effort into cleaning other than a vacuum and driving through a car wash. I now have a new Mustang GT and want to take care of it.

What Im looking for is a mild to moderate all in one interior cleaner/detailer that will work nicely on leather, vinyl and plastic surfaces in my car. Something that cleans, smells nice and has UV protection also. A bonus would be relatively inexpensive and available in 1 gallon quantities. Of course I'd finish the leather off with a quality conditioner so if you have suggestions on a quality conditioner that'd be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

My favorite interior cleaner is Meguiar's Quik Interior cleaner. Works on plastic and leather (light cleaning), and has UV protection. I've never noticed any shine added, very mild smell. Quik interior leaves absolutely no streaking if you use a quality microfiber towel. I would actually make the statement that Quik interior makes a surface a little dust resistant. Some cleaners add shine and an oily residue, which ends up attracting dust.

If you have a new GT this will keep the dash and plastic in perfect like new condition.

I would look at getting a dedicated leather cleaner. Again you could stick with Meguiar's or try any quality leather cleaner and conditioner. Lexol makes good leather products. I like Meguiar's leather cleaner and conditioner all in one. Cleaning leather and keeping it clean is easy if you start out with a biweekly or weekly wipe down of all leather surfaces.

Meguairs Ultimate Interior Detailer, or my personal favorite, Chemical Guys Inner Clean. Inner Clean is one of my top 5 favorite detailing products, it's that good IMO.

+1 on Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer. It is what you're looking for imo in the price range and size. You can get a gallon for less than $20 and it lasts awhile. I use it weekly to keep up with my interior and it works great. It really is for light cleaning though which it sounds like that is all you're looking for. Like mentioned, I'd also look into specific leather cleaning products and protection. I use Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant on my interior and it looks fantastic. Reapply that every few months and wipe down weekly with Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer.

megs cleaner and conditioner in one.very mild cleaning not harsh and leaves a low sheen for protectant gallon size on ag web.perfect for that new car.

Thanks guys...I ordered the Meg's Quick Int. detailer and the Inner Clean. Gonna try em both. I also ordered the Meg's Leather Conditioner in spray. My seats are perforated for heating and cooling. I read that the creams and lotions can plug up those perforations. Not sure if true or not but don't want to take a chance.

Thanks again!

My leather is also heated and cooled via perforations and I use Leather Masters Cleaner and Protection Cream every 3-4 months. In-between I use Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer.

Haha - yeah, I'm busted. I did a mod to an old wine rack. I got tired of searching/looking/reaching into my cabinet.

I like how Megs Quik Interior Detailer performs, but about 8/10 customers hate the way it smells. Real drawback to what otherwise would be a great product.

If you could give your opinion of which performs better once they arrive and you have used them for a few weeks/months. I'm always open to new and especially better products.

Mothers VLR would meet your needs. It has a light leather like scent.
