This car belongs to a friend of mine and he had mentioned that it was in need of a detail. I had stopped and looked at the car, and after some discussion with him we had settled on a single-stage paint correction before coating the car in Americoat. He also asked if I could clean up his wheels after using them during the winter damaged the surfaces.

CONDITION OF THE CAR AFTER BEING WASHED AND DRYED
After washing and drying the car you could clearly see just how rough the paint was on the car. It was heavily swirled on all surfaces of the car including the paint, and the carbon fiber roof.

SINGLE-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION PROCESS
I performed a test spot using my Rupes LHR 15 and Americana Car Care Amerirocks w/ a 5.5" meguiars microfiber cutting pad. This combination was providing the desired correction I was looking for while also finished down very nice on the Alpine White BMW paint. This is the process I used on the rest of the car. I used my Rupes 75E with 3" megs mf cutting pads in the tighter areas of the car.

2008 BMW M3

Beautiful work on a beautiful car!

Makes me want to go get one...:)

Me too! This thing was a blast to drive, and sounded nasty with the exhaust he had on it.

Love the car, Love the Color, Love the carbon fiber, Love the wheels, Love the GLOSS!

Nice work :)

Marvoulus work that 08 M3 you sure know how to pamper a white paintwork

KMG, your friend nailed the wheel choice there, can't really get any better choice! There's something about white on M cars, don't know what it is, must be a secret BMW has locked up somewhere!

Great job on the car, must've been a real pleasure I'm sure to have worked on it!
