Alternative to OPC?

OPC wasn't that good on my tires. Megs Wheel & Tire Cleaner was much better. With that said, I'll probably use a more readily available APC. I don't use APC's that often to begin with. OPC is great, but I think for wheels a dedicated wheel cleaner may be better.

Super clean works. Its doesn't dry your hands out like purple power, i'm not a fan of purple power personally. Carpro's multix is really good too but just to expensive for my liking.

If i buy anything other then super clean i will probably just stick with something from 3D, i'm bit of a 3D fanboy. I have been looking at poorboys more lately also, seems to always get good feedback in general.

Besides bugs and flies, tires on occasion. The only thing i really used superclean/purple power for was a pad cleaner. I have put it in a pump sprayer before to spray down the panels for a pre-wash however.

Interior i've just been using waterless washes, sonax leather foam and carpro's multix, which is very mild in smell. I think i will pick up carpro's inside when its all gone.

I thought i liked carpro's ech20 i think i like mckee's N914 even better lol. Mainly because it doesn't leave anything behind - i've been using it for clay lube and prep for polishing. Its not so finicky either, streaks and stuff. ech20 leaves a noticeable shine however. Both can clean paint. I haven't used N914 inside my car yet though. Ech20 works.

Totally off topic/side note: I've used carpro's eraser, tacsystems zero oil and gyeon's panel prep. gyeon's as the best user experience for me. :) Not a big fan of the pink color but oh well.

You want to take 3D to another level ?

Take some orange degreaser (Yellow would probably work too if you don't have Orange.) and mix it up at 1:10. Then add 4-7 ounces d-limonene per gallon of mix (I've used 7 oz of Citrol a couple of times and 4 oz of Citra-solv once. Both are 90-95 percent d-limonene.) See if that doesn't clean your pads or sealant infused microfibers better than any other cleaner.

You just need to be careful what you put anything with these levels of d-limonene on. The stuff doesn't play well with some plastics. So, I would keep it out of car interiors.

Safest exterior pre-soak I've used that works is P21s Total Auto Wash. The stuff diluted to 1:30 works fantastic. I have some Bilt Hamber and G-Techniq G-4 (Orange foam wash) I still need to try. Just need to get too it.

I'm with you on auto interiors. Safe is best. Rinseless/waterless washes or quality cleaners when and where they're needed. You need to be careful with the CarPro Inside. It works great, but is a little strong. I make sure to follow their directions and rinse/wipe off residue.

And, if anyone wants a good inside your house APC - try Duragloss Ultimate Orange. A Guy who used to post here a lot (Car Daddy), posted this use. It works really well at 1:6.

Switched from Megs D101 to OPC years ago and never looked back. Does an excellent job at 5:1 on tires and wheel wells.

Does it do a good job on interiors including cloth & leather seats? Carpets & dashboards too?

Thanks for that. My interior is well maintained maybe i don't need carpro's inside...just like the idea of an all in one cleaner. I never looked at the instructions. I really don't need anything to strong. Sonax's leather foam is cheap and easy to use - i was pretty impressed what it done to my 3 year old irish setter workboots, brought the leather back to life, it works. WW do the job for me and i just used multix 20:1 a few times the last 2 years. Its mild at that ratio.

What do mainly use the OPC for? Tires?

Tires and wheel wells...occasionally wheels. The wheels on our vehicles are all coated, so soap and water. It's helpful if I'm doing someone else's car. It also ends up being used in my house for some cleaning tasks.

Lol. Inside the house - where all good APC's go to die. For me it's Duragloss Ultimate Orange. A real good inside the house cleaner @ 1:6.

I may try an ounce or two of Citrol in a gallon of mixed up D101 (I think I have about 2 gallons of concentrate) for inside the house. Maybe then I'll get the stuff used up in the next ten years.
