Alternatives to Meguiars QID

If you just use a rinseless you will be adding little to no protection. That's fine if you already have a protectorant you use every so often as a base.

I've thought about trying a rinseless "wash and wax" for interiors, but have not yet.

For light interior cleaning I was using D114, and I am just now starting to try 914.

I liked QID because it did add something as far as protection, but I never did like the smell. Meguiars DUB interior cleaner was similar and had a better smell, but I think it's gone now though.

Yeah, take a look at McKee's lineup. They are steadily becoming my top product club. Outstanding results & attractive price point.

Once in awhile people will ask "if you HAD to choose just one brand for everything"... I used to say Megs. But McKee's is creeping up on the Megs. It'd honestly be a tough call for me at this point. Simply great products. All I could ask for is more variety/options, and they seem to be "going to town" in that regard.

Megs QUID I have 2 gallons 90 percent full and I have not used in 9 months and am about to dump them down the sink, Works great but smells so chemicaly it makes me cough when using it and aggravates my asthma so bad I need my emergency inhaler.

1Z Cockpit, works great and has a citrus smell to it.

MCkee's interior detailer, works great and has a (IMHO) mens cologne smell to it.

D114 (going to change to Mckee's N914 when I run out as D114 is discontinued), If I have it out to use as drying aid after a wash I will soak a interior towel with it then wring out the towel and wipe interior down, no ill effects so far.

I haven't experienced the vinegar smelling "batch" of it, but have noted that the scent of one of my bottles of Meg's QID changed over time to more of a chemical type smell. I believe the high temperatures that bottle experienced could have been responsible for the change in smell. It still doesn't smell bad, it just smells significantly stronger than my other bottle that has been stored in a climate controlled area.

Mckees fast interior qd.smells like coconuts and the customers love it.The smell doesn't linger just when you apply it.Great stuff.

id go with the uber its cheap, on sale, gives great gloss, and can be used as a waterless wash or quick detailer at basically the same dilution. i use 3/4 of an ounce per quart, mix one bottle up and use it for both with great results
