Aluminium polish

Hi,
Any one out there who has used Flitz buff ball? I want to know about it's durability. How many washes will it last? & compared to power ball & dyna cone which is better? On Autogeek it is mention that it will last washes & washes, but in their demo video they said it is washable up to ten times.

Was not the polish that left the holograms behind, I'm sure.

yeah, did it by hand, the NXT and Hot Rims aluminum left minute swirls in the metal trim.

I then tried M205 and it worked great.

Metal Trim Swirled

I should state that it was M105, not M205, M205 may have made it better.....

Since then though, I backed up and jacknifed a trailer and dented the piece but got it straight as I could and a buddy buffed it on his 6" buffer with compound and it shines better.

Hi all,
It's my second small job, again all by hand. It's the break lever of my scooter.

Very nice indeed!

Got some good elbow grease! Must have a zerk fitting in your elbow!

Good show

Impressive work by hand! :xyxthumbs:

Richard Lin/OctaneGuy the Black Wow guy, has a neat method for polishing small bits. He uses a 3" Metabo held upside down between his knees (while sitting, of course) with a wool polishing pad and uses it like a buffing wheel with whatever polish he's using. I tried it with the GG 3" and it works great!

Hey Nappers & Mitchell thanks for reply. I got more passion for detailing [like all of us on forum] than elbow grease so there is no shortage for elbow grease. Hope it will remain the same for life time. I am planning to buff whole engine of Royal enfild. Wish me luck.
Check out the other one it came out even better.

Finally I have done it. Again all by hand. Still saving for tools. Two full days of job but hard work paid off. also posting the images of hand just to show how it look at the end of the day.

WOW! Off da chain results hand.
What's the total hours involved?

You must feel a great sense of accomplishment after this endeavor hand. Well done!

Thanks for reply. For first day I worked 10 hours & second day it was relaxed just three to four hour for polishing with some rest. Just got pain in finger tip for one day from next day it is fine.

Hi,
This is a small foot rest guard from Yamaha R15. Soon I will post the whole bike.

From one aluminum fancier to another...job well done . Every hand knows that he beauty lies in the details...no matter how minute.

Back in the 80's, I used to polish 11 24.5 Alcoas by hand. 6 rims on the tractor and 4 on the trailer.
Today, I would not touch an 11 24.5 without a machine. Good luck on saving up for proper equipment hand.
