Am I ruining my foam pads?

Ok thanks One more question because I dont want to start another thread the pads I use for correction is

orange with m105

and Gold with m205 I see alot of people use other pads then the gold what would be a better pad then the gold?

And I see uber compound is on sell should I try it?

What is the difference between the white blue and black and when do you use the gold pad

Looks like mostly that's normal wear and tear. The chunks missing though could very likely be from the toothbrush! I really don't see a need to use the toothbrush at all.

Spray them with some pad cleaner and massage that in with your fingers. Then toss them in a bucket to soak with whatever cleaner you use. I'll use APC+ and XMT360 pad cleaner on pads that are not totally crusted up and have never had a problem.

If they are a bit more loaded you can put some Dawn on your gloved hands then massage that into the pads while working under hot water.

Finally; if you are using them on the fly and dirty up a bunch of them during the day you'll want to grab some packets of Zippy Pad Cleaner and fill a bucket. Toss them in that as you move to new pads and go on about your day. In the evening all you'll need to do is pull them one at a time and rinse them under as hot a water as you can stand.

I have a 'mud sink' in the laundry room with a 8" section of old water hose on the faucet. That way I can squeeze it to get a "jet" of hot water and they'll rinse clean no matter what method was used to wash them.

To dry, fold a thick terry towel over and place the pad on the edge of towel, rolling it up with the towel like a spiral (if you cut it into). That'll help dry it quite a bit, then put it foam side down on a paint can lid or bottle cap, even a milk jug lid so that air can get underneath and around it.
