Am I waxing correctly?

Hi All,

I have a new Sparkling Graphite BMW 323i M-Sport, Sparkling Graphite is a very dark metallic grey with clear coat.

I am trying to find the best waxing regime for this car. In recent times I have turned to the Pinnacle product based on a recommendation but have become confused along the way with what I should be using for waxing.

Typically, every 6 months I clay then use a synthetic wax as a sealant.

Up till now I have been waxing after washing every weekend. I have been using Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax (weekly).

People are saying that I should be using the above wax every month and use Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax weekly and Crystal Mist daily.

The bit I am unsure about is that I am so used to the creamy consistency of Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax and can basically see the carnauba wax in it.

When I went to use the Souveran Liquid Spray Wax I was surprised to find that it has the consistency of a quick detailing spray like Crystal Mist.

Am I worrying about nothing here or do I need to change my regime?

Liquid Souveran should give great protection for at lease 1-2 months. Souveran spray wax after every wash would be just like using a quick detailer after every wash (Crystal Mist) but it will give the wax more of a boost and keep the protection up much longer. If i was you i would invest in Crystal Mist or Souveran Spray Wax and use it weekly. Waxing with Liquid Souveran every week is overkill and using a spray product will likely save you money and cut your time.

Yes, I already have the Crystal Mist and the Spray Wax.

So, use the Liquid Wax monthly then use the Spray Wax after each wash followed by the Mist on a daily basis to remove dust?

How often do you wash? If you are using the spray wax once a week or even every other week you should be able to see at least 2 months of protection and shine before you need to rewax. Probably closer to 3.

Yea, I was every weekend then used to Liquid Wax straight after. I WILL wash every week then I either use Liquid Spray or Crystal Mist I'm guessing.

With weekly washes followed by spray wax you should easily be able to get 3 months of protection. I would just use crystal mist as a light dust remover but remember that if the car is too dirty you risk inducing swirls.
