Next door neighbor with the owner of an RS5 a detail I did the previous weekend out in Bend Oregon.

The car was manufactured in January, and sent to a dealer in California. This color is a special order I was told, I guess not very common. Shipped to Bend to the new owner recently. The hood and side view mirrors were painted matte black by a local body shop couple of weeks ago I believe. Paint measured in the 200 micron range all the way down 150s as you went south. I really am impressed with the build and fit of this car. Orange peel was also much less than normal, which helps creating a great finish. The engine performance was boosted with some computer work - I was told over 500 HP/Torque

This car is a weekend car and most likely never be driven in the rain, so it was pretty clean when I arrived. It received a quick wipe down, followed by Zaino clay bar. Very little contamination was removed. After a quick dry, I spent some time to make sure that the hood and side view mirrors were protected.

101 was really dusting so once I was done with all polishing, on day 2, I had to wash the car.

Once dry, the paint was Opti Coated, glass was polished and coated with Opti Glass pro.

AFTER SHOTS - just 3 as I had 3 hours of driving ahead of me and it was raining.

WOW, that Camaro came out great! :dblthumb2:

Candy or metallic colors really benefit from a good detail and this is a great example of it! :props:

Wow that is amazing! You only used M101? You didnt finish with M205?

Thank you all for your nice replies.

PapaSmurf - 101 was just the initial step. There were 2 more afterwards.

Wow, great work!! props :)

but i would def not consider that a "muscle car" by any means... besides the fact that it holds the name camaro

Very nice work! Solid prep and great end result. Nice car too!

One of the nicest Cameros I've seen. Awesome detail. Thanks for sharing it.

First, what a BEAUTIFUL Camaro! Had I known you could order one in that color.... lets just say my wife would have shot me by now! So it's not for sale I assume.

But have to ask, not going to see rain, but did you actually DRIVE it 3 hours in the rain? Please say no, please say no..... ;)

It was in a trailer, right? (Fingers crossed)

Looks GREAT though, I mean really nice indeed.:buffing:

What did you put on the hood and mirrors?

great looking job and car.

Thank you guys for your replies. Sorry for missing them.
1 - the flat paint received nothing from me, but I suggested Swissvax for them. The owner loves the look and beading.
2 - I needed to drive back home from Bend to Portland. That car never sees rain.
