hello everyone!

im planning on putting a coating on my mustang tomorrow

it has light swirl marks thinking of doing a one step polish but wondering which should i use for the polish before the IPA and coating

the Americana IAT3000 or the 3D 505 AAT CORECTION GLAZE[h=1][/h]
thanks in advance for the help =D

The good old test spot will be your answer.

I would advise against using any cleaner wax, (like 505) type product before coating.

Maybe check out 3D One, or ACA 520 from their line.

thank you , figured that would be the case

same here.. that was suggested to me by a detail shop but then i notice the glaze part aka fillers then i went to another shop and they suggested americana cuz after the ipa the swirl marks gonna show up again after the oil/ fillers r taken off if i recall

Good call. I forgot 505 is an AIO.

Can you please explain why ? I just wanted to be educated as to why. Thx.

Sure!

Coatings often require bare paint, or a designated, specialized primer polish before application.

Products like 505 utilize some type of wax and/or sealant for protection. These products create more work with removal than typical polishing oils. Using a cleaner wax works against efficient work flow, when applying a coating.

CarPro Essence, or Geyon Primer are exceptions to their product line.
