Ammo NYC products?

Gee! I would NEVER use his products if he thinks a bucket wash is safer. Bucket washes alone are way too risky for me ( and I would imagine for anyone who has soft paint too) This product sounds like it could use some improvement so it will be safe because the concept is good for those who have winter and can’t use a hose year round.

No i get that. You won’t wash in anyway but the way you do. This product is not made for you as you do not rinseless/waterless.

I get Frothe is not for you. His other products always get rave reviews but to nix all his products because you don’t waterless/rinsless is kind of an uneducated statement.

Just because one product doesn’t fit your style doesn’t mean others wouldn’t. If you towel dry your car ( with PFM I believe?) i have not tried any drying aid that I feel works better than Hydrate.

And just to clarify when I say bucket He means anytime you can wash with a hose (he does 2 bucket) it is better than any waterless/rinseless wash including his product.

He actually uses a Foam gun in some cases similar to you and Accumulator. I don’t know who did it first but 1st got the idea from him. Followed up with you and Accumulator when i read about you two doing it on it in your own way.

I had a minor problem with a certain batch of towels. He called me up on a Sunday to get my input and he made it right.

He’s a Gentleman who’s actually concerned with customer satisfaction. He’s earned my business.

Absolutely. He is constantly reformulating products when he doesn’t need too.

Hydrate was his best selling universally loved formula when he redid it.

I won’t argue about 2 bucket vs anything because to each his own

Your feeling on this is like how I feel about Todd Cooperider flat dismissing a multi mitt wash and calling it “a crutch” and saying its traditional 2 bucket or nothing

It’s almost like saying the washing process froze in time the day grit guards and 2 buckets was a new thing and there’s no reason to look for better or safer methods

WTH?

Hmm… never heard him say that. Even though I don’t agree as I use 1 wash bucket 10 mitts i can respect he has his own thoughts.

Also Esoteric has a big following and the sell alot of products. I believe he believe it’s the best as if he said multiple wash media were better, how many more of those $15 esoteric sponges would he sell.

At least he’s not changing his beliefs to sell more product like alot of you-tubers today….

I didn’t nix all his products. I’m not sure where you’re getting that from. Maybe I should’ve been more clear. It’s the rinseless that scares me that’s all. I’m not as brave as you.

Pro car washing FROM HOME! | Step by step tutorial! - YouTube

16 minutes in

Like Larry K I have a lot of respect for Todd C for building a hugely successful business

He’s entitled to his opinions just as we are

In this case his logic escapes me

Like you I’m a 1 wash bucket and multi mitt guy and I’m happy with that

To each his own

Now let’s go wash cars

I have tried the Winter Wash stuff and the Brute wheel shampoo. The winter wash claimed anti-corrosion properties for folks that deal with deicing agents and salt. The Brute claimed to be a tough wheel soap that was good at breaking down brake dust. I found the Chemical Guys Citrus Wash(the original orange one) that I was attempting to retire with Brute cleaned and foamed a lot better. Both shampoos still required the assistance of a wheel cleaner so that being said I have never again purchased something advertised to be a dedicated wheel shampoo. As for the winter wash I honestly didn't own the vehicle long enough to notice if the winter wash prevented anything, it did however kill the water beading of the LSP though, that I can confirm.

Also, just my short take on posting stuff here that isn't sold here. If it's good and worth selling, but it's not sold here, share it anyways so that maybe one day it will be sold here. If it's garbage and not worth using or selling, please share it anyways to warn everybody lol.

My bad. Maybe i took out of context. No i get the rinseless. You found what works for you and stick too it. I would too if schedule/life allowed.

The method you/accumulator use is one of the 2 safest methods i’ve personally tried and if i could exclusively wash with those two methods I absolutely would.

I feel his product is the best waterless method available (with proper technique). Would still rather use hose everytime.

Straight up.

If it weren’t for Larry’s instructional videos I wouldn’t be a detailer today. Love him.

I originally found Larry through his podcast - I listen to a lot of podcasts to kill the commute.

I've used Frothe and Hydrate (also bought the pump up foamer from him). Sure, pricing might be a little higher on stuff, but I don't really mind as I view it as supporting him for all the info I got out of his podcasts.

Bought a set of microfibers for $15 as well that have seemed just fine.

I really like Frothe as a pre-spray for winter garage rinseless washes. Feels like it helps make the process safer than just a traditional rinseless presoak. I'll foam first with Frothe, then do a typical multi-wash-media rinseless (stack of towels in a bucket of RW of choice).

I still haven't fallen in love with it as a standalone waterless; but full confession I've only tried it a couple times as such, and it was on cars that didn't have a real LSP present to speak of. Also not helping the situation was needing to work quickly (geek level final product wasn't the goal, just getting the dirt off was), so I didn't really get a chance to live in the moment and really refine using it.

I got Hydrate from reading all the positive reviews, and agree it's easy to use as a drying aid. The thing I'm still trying to decide with it is if/how long it changes water behavior of whatever LSP is on the car. Here again, both cars are due for full details again to reset after winter, so I'll feel better testing once that's happened so I'm not just seeing the behavior of toppers over bonded winter funk.

His customer service is top shelf, I emailed him a question once and got a reply pretty quickly. It was signed from Larry, and it seemed like it was actually him not just an employee from his account. (no way to prove, but that was the vibe).

Yeah got the same vibe when I emailed back and forth about an issue with pump sprayer. Asked that I had called in and it was actually him that answered.
