Angry Gas Thread!

These gas prices really do suck...I actually got premium this past Sunday for 3.83/gal at a Sunoco which wasn't too bad. 1 $55 fill usually lasts me a week, but now that I won't be driving 60mi to class round trip 3x a week I should be in better shape. I've been getting 22-23mpg mostly city which is pretty damn good for a 400+hp V8.

I've noticed that newer cars don't really imrpve gas milage...they don't want to. Previous Acura MDX was getting 17/23, newest one is getting 15/20. So what that it has a more powerful engine, gas milage needs to improve.
My Intiniti (99 I30t) is 21/28 (with factory specs, in reality I was getting 18-19 average, until I upgraded to K&N air filter, and started filling up only with Chevron, which gives a better gas milage, believe me, I tried it in 4 of my cars), and my mom's 02 I35 is 20/26.
I seem to get better mileage with Shell then BP. We dont have Chevron here. Both Shell and Chevron are top teir gasoline. Maybe thats why useing these gasolines you will get better mileage.

Be sure to keep your cold tire pressures at the recommended PSI!!! Since it's a good idea to get your gas in the morning, check your tire pressure before you leave the driveway.

I honestly get better gas mileage from Costco gas (40+ miles more to the tank) and I did some logging and I'm getting no knock.

I only fill up at top tier detergent gasoline gas stations, and Chevron seems to give me better gas milage then Shell, or 76.

I asked the attendant for $5 worth of gas, she farted and gave me a receipt!

Saw diesel the other day for 4.49 , the people with new gen diesels must be pissed like my friend, b/c their choked with emissions crap and regen that causes them to get horrible mileage.
