Seems ive been getting an awful lot of these cars. Local car club likes my work and I am happy to be doing their cars. Ill be able to do a 5th gen Camaro with my eyes closed soon enough!

Anyway, here goes!

Car looked decent until the wax came off. Had a nice coat on it hiding a lot of the swirls.

The interior was in alright shape. Carpets where not extracted, but the mats where thouroughly cleaned and steamed and the entire interior was vacuumed.

Some interior pics

The engine bay WAS quite dirty. A lot of build up in areas. Everything was cleaned and left that way. No dressing. Nothing to attract dust.

The wheels had a decent amount of brake dust as most of these 5th Generation SS's do. I know mine ALWAYS does.
Wheels were polished with CG metal shine which contains a sealnt that should aid in washing and help brake dust not to stick.

Customer didn't leave me the wheel lug locks so instead of a wheels off detail I jacked the side of the car up to expose the fender wells.

Yuck

Compound used was CG V34 with an orange Hex pad and a Flex3401, followed by a CG V36 polish and a white hex pad.

50/50 shot

The flat black stripes on these cars are hard to deal with. They really hold stains, and they scratch if treated too aggressively. This product works wonders.

Yellow carnuba wax was chosen. Yellow carnuba sits well on red paint, and longevity isn't an issue for this car as it is not a daily driver and is garage kept. This is my favorite Yellow Carnuba.

And a little artistic shot to end with!

Pretty ridiculous... RIDICULOUSLY GOOD JOB THAT IS!

I love it man - the photography, the side-by-sides, the logo embedded... NICE! So many people don't do the small things that count AFTER the detail is done, for marketing value. I spent more on a new DSLR camera than a Mytee-II just for the amazing photos.

Well done - looks amazing :)

Thank you sir!!

Looks great! ... 2 quick questions.

Aren't those wheels clear coated? In which case a metal polish might not have been doing anything?

Is that Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer... or another product? I see it says Meticulous Matte on it, but I have not seen it advertised with that bottle design or as a "sealant".

Again, great work!

Great results and pictures!
one of these days I'll get a camera and learn how to use it properly

Camaros are usually in rough shape...because we LOVE driving them so much (instead of spending all our time making them pretty). They are made to run, and run hard. No baby sitting these cars.

The CG V-series of polishes are really quite under-rated from what I have seen on this forum. They really do a nice job and are priced very well.

The water spots remind me of my 5.0! Really want to get me a DA and remove all of them.

Anyways, great work.

Do you like to stick with CG products? I'm currently trying to decide between Chemical Guys or Adams Polishes.

Adams stuff is good but slightly overpriced imo

CG is priced better but over hyped and redundantly placed products.......

Wheels are not cleared.

That is CG MMD, it is and has been a matte sealer too.

| use exclusively CG. Its nice to be able to stay on one product line. I know all of the products and don't have to go anywhere else. Ive never not been able to complete a job using their line and so have stuck with them. Customer service has picked up lately. They went through a phase where they couldn't keep up with their brands expansion, but they have it figured out now.
