Another Damn Scratch

Just as I was typing the messages above today, my daily driver was in the shop getting new tires

They must of had a snafu with their wheel balancer machine because it ground huge scores into my rims. All of them... Same spot on every one now has lands and grooves carved in them.

Now they will either repair or replace the rims. Manager felt awful.

Crap happens.... Life goes on.
 
I guess at the end of the day, it's not about preventing the damage so much as it is about repairing it. It's probably not something I'd do by myself. Does anyone just take their daily drivers into a shop once a year or something and have them repair little dings, scratches, paint damage? How does this work?
