Another How to: wash car

Then I guess I must have been lucky all along because since polishing my truck last year, I haven't added any swirls to my paint!

But still, I probably might want to get one eventually...

yep i will get one eventually also, i just can't spend some money on it right now.

Just tryiing to be helpful, hope you didn;t take it wrong. P.S. Get two! And you will need different shaped buckets, I think, for the grits to fit. You can get cheapos, or really neat rolling ones that fit in a rolling dolly, here at AG. Little wheels don't roll very well on my driveway because it is patterned concrete, so I wasn't a candidate for the rolling buckets. One of the cheapos I bought developed a hole in the bottom, so probably spending the extra money would have ben a better idea in the first place.

You know you want one (2):

Wal Mart has some 5 gallon buckets, and they fit grit guards perfectly. I bought my 5 gal buckets from Wal Mart, that's why I know :). They were i think 3 something each. If you look around the house paint section you should be able to find the buckets.

sry to bring back the old thread, but do you have a link to the lowes foam gun thingy? i'm going there tomorrow and it's far away so i don't really want to drive there if there's no foam gun lol

it's in the gardening section where all the nozzles and hoses are

I actually looked at my buckets to day for sizing, and they are 3.5 gal. The GG's fit perfectly.

first i used simple green in it for the lower part of the car, it make everything come off soo easy! then i used this cheapo wash and wax in it and it worked really well too

Yeah they're not so thin like this one cheapo 1 dollar bucket I got from wal mart lol. Now, time for you to get grit guards!

I just went to Lowes last week and bought myself a nice 5 gallon bucket there. I wanted a see-through bucket and they had exactly what I needed...

I would get one but I don't need the clear ones anyways :) I just need one more bucket so I can use one of my old buckets for the wheels. Apparently I use one bucket for both wheels AND for my mitt rinse bucket, but I rinse the bucket nicely before I use it for the mitt. Hopefully nothing clings to the plastic or anything inside the bucket and transfers to the mitt :p
