Hey guy, well here is another car I did that was an incredible makeover, this time on the outside. This is my sisters boyfriends car, 2007 350Z, Black. This was the worst new car paint I had ever seen, the car is brand spaken new, but the paint was full of swirls, water marks , and some scratches, you would really have to had seen it, but take my word it was bad. I don't now what or how this car got this way but the dealership definitely neglected it. It took me a total of 9 hrs to do it, and I only did the outside. I use to think I wold never buy a black car, but after doing this one I changed my mind, the results were amazing, again I surprised myself, i guess I'm getting pretty good at this detailing stuff. But I owe it all to AG and the great products they carry, anyway lets get on to the pictures.
Process:
Wash: NXT, Shmitt, and Foam Gun. Dried with Blower and PB SG and Purple Cobra MF
Clayed: DP Clay and DP Lube
Polished: Optimum Compound and Edge Yellow Pad with DA on 6 followed by Menzerna FPII and Orange Edge Pad with DA on 5.
The paint was that bad on a new that I had to use those combos to only get 90% of the defects out, the rest need a high speed or wet sand. But I was very impressed with the OPT. Compound, long work time and work perfect even in the sun, and of course Menzerna is always a life saver probably my favorite line, never failed me once.
Waxed: Pinnacle Soveran x 2 and wiped down with Megs. UQD
Windows: Stoners IG
Wheels: Wiped down with Megs. UQD and dressed tires with Megs. Hot Shine Gel.
