Another mistake by the rescuer

The mistakes keep happening but Im never repeating any, and that's a good thing. Maybe I ll help others not make some mistakes.

I was washing a regular customers car that I just layered with c845 a month ago maybe two. So I noticed that for some reason the water wasn't beading like I know it does. Well I remember I hadn't ran the wax bottle under hot water to mix it properly because "I thought it was warm enough outside" NOT. I remember the wax being quite watery but I thought it would be fine, well it wasn't. So yes I will rewax the car.

Can that heat up be safely done in the microwave?

I wouldn't take that risk unless absolutely necessary, given that hot water will do the trick in a matter of minutes. But in the event you don't have access to hot water, and must try the microwave, I'd suggest warming it slowly under low power.

We all make mistakes. It's how we learn from them and react afterward that separates the great from the average. Thanks for sharing.

Suffice it to say:
•Water heats-up "better", than Waxes will,
in microwave ovens.

If the weather is 70F+ and sunny, I've been able to heat up the wax enough by simply leaving the bottle in direct sunlight while I was doing all the prep and correction on the car. Below 70F and a hot water bath is almost a given.

Don't forget to shake it REALLY well. Even when properly warmed up, you'll need to shake the bottle vigorously to ensure everything is mixed properly.
 
If the car is still warm, I will find a safe place in the engine bay to leave the bottle to heat. I haven't used 845 in a while though.
 
I ran it under warm water for couple min and when outer areas started to become runny, I shook it for a while, which turned them to nice liquid wax.

also I suggest you to get a meguiars bottle and transfer your wax.
it makes it so much easier to use C845, and somehow... it hasnt turned into solid wax for weeks.

Deos collinite suggests you warm the wax before applying.
 
My 845 has stayed a liquid consistency since the first time I warmed it up a few years ago. I still put it in the sun before I actually apply it though.

Are you saying it stays blended together in liquid form? Interesting.

I only work on my personal vehicles, so the bottle goes months without being touched. I've noticed the materials separate after a week or so with the solids becoming a gooey sludge in the bottom of the bottle. Nothing bad that heat and a good shake won't cure, but there is noticeable separation.

Should be a thick liquid.
