This vehicle came to me in need of a serious cleaning for being a fairly new car. The car is roughly three (3) years old with a approximately 31,000 miles on it. As you can see in the before pictures, the owner has a 2 year old child that has made a mess of the back seat.

I am want to say I am fairly happy with the results, however I am not 100% happy with how the seats turned out. I told the owner I wanted to do some research and fully correct the seats at another time since I wasn't able to fully remove the stains.

That's impressive work. I'm sure they didn't mind the few stains leftover considering the mess it was when they gave it to

Great turnaround. How do you like the Bissel? Do you think a better extractor would have gotten the last remaining stains? Or are you looking into a change of products for similar trashed interiors?

I feel your pain on that kind of dirty seat with only having access to a LGM but you did a GREAT job!!! Nice work

I really like the bissel and can't complain about the results I am getting from a $90 unit that has more then paid for itself on my last few interior projects. I am not sure which direction I am gonna look yet, but just want to find either a product or technique for removing heavy stains more thoroughly.

Great work! As i commented on your FB page, that's too dirty for such a newer car. I wouldn't even wanna get in it!

Excellent work on that trashed interior, light colored seats with that type of fabric are a real PITA to get fully clean, nice job.

As bad as those seats were, I wouldn't feel bad at all about the results you got. That said, that type of fabric seems to really love oily stains. I've found that most stains come out but you're left with dark spots a lot of times on this fabric.

There's two things I've found to improve on cleaning these types of seats.

The biggest problem detailers face is wicking, and this fabric is the worst.

After you've cleaned the seats, and the fabric is almost dry ( I can't believe I'm letting this cat out of the bag, but some guys already know) spray some spotter, like folex on a Meg's MF pad and use your DA polisher to go over the seats. It's the same basic concept of encapsulation cleaning. It will remove any remaining residue. I use a vacaway brand spotter that is superior to folex. PM me if you are interested.

For the dark stains areas that just seem impossible to budge, you need a very strong cleaner that will attack oil. Dlimonene cleaners work, but tend to leave residue so I don't use them for this task anymore.

I use a vacaway brand crystal encapsulation cleaner that eats those stains for lunch. Again, pm me if you are interested.

A very hot water extractor helps a lot. As close to 200 degrees as possible. Sometimes I will even steam the seats before extracting. You have to be careful though, because steam can bake some stains in, making them permanent.

You may know a lot of this already. Sorry if I dumbed it down too much. Understanding the PH scale and how certain stains relate to the scale and how certain chemicals relate is also very important.

You probably already know, but for example, a high alkaline cleaner like meg's apc+ or most apc's for that matter well tend to set some coffee stains, making them impossible to remove.

I don't know what you could be unhappy with Kevin?! That car was an absolute disaster before you worked your magic. I'm baffled when I see interiors that look like this... I mean honestly, it has to be pretty hard to make something get that dirty :/ Anyway - great work!!

I threw up a little while looking at the before pics! you did a great job and I bet your hands and arms were sore after that.

More so my back then anything. My detailing will keep aleve in business!

Given the owners lack of maintenance on this vehicle...did you use a fabric protectant to keep them looking how you left them?

Being that I did not have any kind of fabric protectant on hand, no I did not. However it is certainly something that should be added to those seats and I did mention it to her.

Great work! Seeing the before and after pictures I would say you made quite the improvement! Keep it up! I see you aren't too far away from me. Maybe we could meet up sometime to talk detailing.

Hope you don't mind but I am also curious of the product that is better than Folex and tried to send Status Detailing a pm but you're over the limit. Let me know. Thanks

Great work, those were some really nasty seats. How do people even feel comfortable sitting in seats looking like that?!?!?!
