A few month's back:
I started a thread on AG,about the actual nubawax content in Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax.I put 1oz in a 5oz measuring glass(clearly marked ounces in numbered red lines) and sat the glass to the side.A few day's later I took a few pic's of what was left.I was actually surprised there was only enough "wax film" to barely coat(and I mean BARELY) the bottom of the measuring glass.
So forward to today:
I picked up some GTechniq C3 (Smart Carnuba Spray Wax) and it arrived last week.I thought I would do the same test as I did with the Pinnacle Souveran Spray wax and proceeded to put (almost) 1oz of C3 in the same glass and let it sit over the weekend to let it dry out as well.
HOLY SHxT,WOW!

I wish I still had the SSW pic's for comparison but some of the comments I received when I started the thread was,no-one really cared or they had not so nice comments to make (so I deleted them).:bat:

People may have a different opinion now ;)

So me being very excited to give it a try,I went in the garage and played with it a bit.I would of took some pic's but my camera was in the shop being serviced for repair.

This C3 is just as Impressive as ALL the other GTechniq's products I tried and I have most all of the product line that is offered.

I rem. your other post.

I havent tried any of the GTechniq products but all I have heard are good things. Thats pretty impressive compared to the Pinnacle spray wax.
Have you done this with any others?

Not yet,but that's a night and day difference from the results of the two.

not to be a stick in the mud but that does this prove?

I'm not attacking your post nor am I flaming you, but I just wanna know what this proves? It left behind a top layer of cream but how does that actually translate into protection to your car?

I didn't mention it protected anything (not once).

The ONLY reason I did the lil experiment:
I was just curious of the actual content of nuba in spray waxes. If you let a spray wax evaporate, shouldn't there be some kind of amount of wax left(wax shouldn't evaporate).

Yeah I remember the pictures from the other thread, there wasn't hardly anything left in the bottom...

That's why I was curious,if a spray wax is labeled to have a certain content of nuba it should show up after the carrier/water type products evaporate.

I too am a big G|Techniq. I am a huge fan of the C2, I1 and L1. I have their others except C3. Gonna put them all on the Audi.
Chris the Pinnacle is super easy to apply without streaks. How is the C3 in this regard. TIA Buddy!

Jim,I'll quote what it says for application on the bottle:
C3 SMART CARNUBA is the fastest, easiest, natural carnuba wax we've produced thanks to GTechniq 3S Smart Surface Science
USE
"Shake Well.Spray onto clean dry microfiber and buff surface until perfect"
APPLICATION
"SMART CARNUBA works on dry, wet, cool and hot surfaces.Use it on bodywork, glass, trim, wheels, tyres and even interiors"
APPEARANCE
"Deep wet gloss,No smears or tears. It's the only wax you'll need"
BENEFITS
Long Life-UV Block-Self Clean-Easy Clean-3S Nanotech

To answer your question,I applied it to the surface wet and before I could start to buff it off(per instructions) it had already hazed.I then wiped/buffed of the hazed residue with no streaks. The appearence it left was a nice warm glow.

Yeah but isn't that what you're trying to get at? If it was left out to dry you should be able to SEE something, which would lead to the protection left behind?

I agree with you that I wish AG would carry GTechniq products (fastest shipper as two other competitor is taking forever to get my stuff to my damn door even tho I ordered two days before I ordered my AG stuff).

Again,I was just curious of how much carnuba is actually in product(spray wax to be specific).

But now that you mention it:
Based on my findings and in my personal opinion,If one product has more carnuba content than the other, should not the product with the most nuba content give the user better coverage(hence better protection)?

Pretty cool. I remember the last post because i was amazed at how little was left behind. This is a huge difference. I'm really looking forward to trying this stuff out. I love spray waxes.

BTW, I am still getting decent beading after about 10 weeks with only using DGAW. I completely stripped my last LSP and applied the AW while drying and then with a red LC app pad. Pretty impressive for a spray " maintenance" wax/sealant.

Thanks for the info. I guess I have something new to try now.

Cool. I might try this with some of my spray waxes for curiosity's sake. Great idea and thanks for sharing. I agree with you that if a spray wax is marketed as a nuba spray, it should actually have a measurable amount of real wax in it and this seems like an awfully foolproof test.

They do, its a competitor to AG however and they aren't located on the mainland.

Last I saw, C3 was going under the knife for a re-formulation.

Just a lil' update:
I had a repeat customer come today for a exterior/interior(clean only)detail. Her car was one of the 1st customer's I had tried the GTech C3 on(after trying it on my personal vehicle). After washing with Dodo's SN Shampoo and rinsing with my CR Spotless system, her 2008 Avalon was still showing strong(like day one)protection from the C3 I had applied 2.5 month's ago. :xyxthumbs:
