Antique tires

Tires look great. I'm not sure what pinnacles formula is. I have always stayed with water based products for stuff like that. For things that are primarily inside avoiding solvents and silicone oils is always a good idea.

It sounds pretty good, I have some old white letter bike tires, slick and skinny for a Stingray replica I'm building for my daughter. Maybe I'll give black onyx a try on those.

How worn are the tires? I can't imagine they'd be mint condition after 60+ years.

Almost Mint condition. Even smell like new! a little "checking" of the white walls, really need to be very close to see it.

I would never ever put tires that old on ANYTHING that would be driven! A "good deal" isn't such a good deal when a tire blows and you wreck the car, that's going to cost you, not save you anything!

Its a known fact that rubber deteriorates over time, in Europe for instance, tires over 5 years are no good and can't be fitted onto cars for road use, I like that law, makes sense and cents.
