Any Amateur Radio Folks On The Forum?

Hello everyone. I am curious, are there any amateur radio operators on the forum? I have my General class license and am thinking about going for my Extra Class license. I have an old and simple station, nothing expensive or fancy. Any HAMs on the forum?

I took the General class a few years ago, but haven't used it much at all. I had a handheld Yaesu, but sold it this past year. I thought it would come in handy and would be a fun hobby to try, but in the end - most of the channels and repeaters I hit were just old dudes talking about what surgery they had scheduled the following day. LOL.

It's amazing that hobby is still going...you would think the internet would have largely supplanted it.
