One of my daily drivers is the kid duty car. While a coating is nice, it needs a light polish twice a year and sometimes my wife takes it through the tunnel wash.

Being super busy with work and life, I’ve looked at some of the ceramic and graphene aio products from mckees and griots. Each one would get a topper when washing, probably 2 times a month.

Does either, or another option stand out? I know uno advanced auto exists as does an option from sonax.

Thanks in advance.

Check into Griot's Garage Ceramic 3 in 1

Haven't used it but Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene liquid wax gets good reviews.
Personally I like Jescar Ultralock which is ceramic infused. I tend to top that with TEC 582 at washes. TEC 582 can be applied a number of ways but I prefer to mostly dry the vehicle then apply it with a microfiber and buff it off.

Not sure if this is out yet

*Edit*
Comes out in July 2025

Sonax's stack would be your best bet. Polish with their AIO ceramic polish use the spray coating as a base layer of protection and their ultra slick detailer as a topper.

I wonder if that replaces the product in the green bottle

Q: How is this different from the existing Ceramic All-in-One in the green bottle?

Boss Ceramic All in one resents our most advanced all in one formulation. Boss ceramic All in one provides better correction capabilities and extended working time. Correction ability is similar to Boss correcting Cream. It is more compatible with long-throw polishers., standing up to heat and hard use like Boss Finishing sealant. Its protective durability is comparable to that of Ceramic All in One, far surpassing that of Boss Finishing Sealants.

I think that makes me decision easier. Lol

Sonax's ceramic AIO and the detailer would be a very nice combo.

Lots of great reviews on Sonax ultra slick detailer and it's cheap. It will be my next 1-2 mth detailer/spray sealant. It's been shown to darken the paint and the beads are what you would expect from Sonax. World Class.

UNO advanced is a rather runny product and it's not the easiest to clean off the pads. Beads are average. Personally, i didn't like it. Rupes overhyped that product, like a lot of their new products the last couple years. Not a fan frankly of rupes.

Griots, is another brand i don't look into too much - unless you count my G15 and G8! ha. The 3in1 is supposely not the best beader if that's your thing.

Ultralock is an amazing LSP. I got a solid 6+ months during a winter with my GLI years ago, in that 6 month time it was washed maybe 6 times total as I didn't have wash facilities and would have to take it an hour east to my parents place. Despite the lack of washing that Ultralock+ held up great. Some of the best beading I've ever seen in person. I got the small 8oz bottle like 5 years ago and still more than half full, it will likely expire long before it's gone.

Sonax's 02-06/ceramic AIO and the detailer would be a very nice combo.

I too use their polishers but none of their chems. Sonax polishes in general are a dream to use, I'm sure their AIOs are as good as any, or better.

I'd throw Carpro Essence into the mix as well. Most use it as a primer polish, but it can be used as a standalone as well.

You will love using Essence, it doesn't dust and it's so buttery smooth to wipe off. You then have a brilliantly slick and glossy surface. Carpro USA suggest it can last up 12-months, which would be easily achieved if you are using a topper. If it were me, I'd polish with Essence, then go in with a topper (Reload or similar) after an hour.

This is after polishing with Essence, before applying CanCoat EVO............................

Post application of CanCoat EVO and topped with Gyeon Cure...............................

NOTE - You want Essence (mild abrasive and Si02) and not Essence Plus (non-abrasive coating repair product).

You could also look at Rupes Uno Advanced, with is the new ceramic version of Uno Protect, and is said to last up to 12-months as well.

Very nice. I’ve never used essence, which is a shock since I’ve used so much lol

I would then maintain it after washes with the wet wax.

If I'm going to polish then think I would prefer to use a dedicated polish. Then apply a separate protectant. Haven't used an AIO since the days of Klasse AIO. Still have a half bottle of that. Use it on wheels now and then.

I’m not as skilled as most but their boss stuff produces great results. Like all griots products they are pretty darn hard to screw up

Beautiful car man.

Sadly, I had to move it on for when my new one came. The above was taken a month or so before it left, I wanted to polish and coat it one last time. I really miss it, it had this lovely blend of smoothness and rawness. Those early S550's also had really short gearing in the manual, so it always felt ready to sprint, very raunchy! And when you did cane it, which was always so much fun, it would just pull it gear so easily. It was the sort of car that always wanted to be driven, if you know what I mean. The S650 is almost too clinical, although maybe that's because I haven't exploited its full potential yet.

I also made sure to take some videos before it left, one last thrash.....................
