I will be doing a jeep wrangler for my friend soon. It is a 2 year old wrangler with some scratches and is most likely covered in dirt here is what im thinking
wheels and tires-mothers and zep citrus apc
wash-meguiars gold class and montana boars hair 10 inch
dry
probably a clay bar and wipe
correction -dont think alot most likely a 1 step in certain areas
sealant -v7
wax-collinite 845-these two will be enought protection
tire shine-optimum opti bond, dress plastic too
interior -vaccum -most likely clean
remove stains if any

I think about 4-4.5 hours
thoughts?

First thing I'd do is tell them to keep the hell outta the mud and water. Worst thing for any vehicle.

No offense Bill ... But haven't you started the same thread like 3 or 4 times already.

two of my friends have jeeps
the 2001 date was wrong on my part

If you can get all that fine in 4.5 hrs, your a better man than me. I would expect al least double that.

probably not bad, just needs to be cleaned up. The vehicle has never gone off road

You're gonna need to be careful if you clean the muffler, the bearing might fall off.

I'm honestly surprised anyone with a Jeep has asked for a detail.
I work for a Jeep company and my husband owns a Jeeps he competes with... Touching that thing with my products or buffer would be a joke.

They tend to wear dirt like a badge.

Not if he cleans it with a bucket of prop wash.

Did you detail this vehicle yet Bill? You're never going to get any practice unless you actually do one.

Theres two vehicles im talking about. This one currently is a jeep wrangler which will be done tuesday. The other one is a cheerokee and it has not been done yet

Why not take a look at them before you go so you have an idea of what you're up against?

Doing the detail tomorrow. Should be simple enough, but should have challenges

I will tell you - I have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited...to do a FULL detail takes me longer than 4.5 hours. The thing you have to remember is all the angles and the bolts, the hinges, etc. Are you taping things off? Like I said, lots of different angles and small spaces to work around.

Good luck!

I have a Wrangler Unlimited and it takes me two hours to do a good cleaning without claying, polishing or sealing. Since I have had it since it is new, it doesn't have time to get too awfully nasty. I think 4.5 for a full detail would be a little light but it can be done, especially if you are using a one step.

How hard is the paint? I'm planning on doing full correction (hopefully) on my girlfriends 2013 jk unlimited. She got the swirled option from the dealer, and it's black so it shows all the defects. Mainly the hood is the worst part.

I taught her the right way to wash it and there hasn't been any other wash induced swirls or marring besides the initial first wash from the stupid dealership.

Not looking forward to taping every little thing off and working around the door hinges, etc.

The paint is on the softer side...I hit mine with M205. I think it marrs quickly!
I taped off the door handles...Hinges and bolt I went over - you will have to clean inside the bolts and the hinges
