Hey guys,

just wondering if any of you guys have had any luck outsourcing any services? Auto glass repairs and tinting, electronics/audio, maybe aftermarket wheels etc. I'm just thinking out loud here.

thank you!

I advertise leather dye/repair, PDR and tinting. I don't receive a bird/dog fee etc. It does keep the phone ringing and the businesses I refer customers to send their customers my way for detailing.

Yes I have a couple friends shops that do tint and clear bra I send all my customer to them. I'm still looking for a PDR that is any good.

put it this way...

i just had a terrible experience with a place that partially outsources, but tries some things (like clear film) in-house.

it's my opinion that unless you are a high level performer at whatever it is, definitely outsource those auxiliary services. and, if the decision is to have them offered or not, i recommend having them available as long as the contractors you use are up to your standards because ultimately it will be YOUR name on the line. as long as the contractors understand that they are going to be operating to your level, so they might have to do more re-dos than a normal volume-type shop (or dealership).

PDR, interior repair, tint, clear film, wrapping and powdercoating are the ones i see often. also, i feel it's good to have reliable connections for in car electronics, accessories, paint/body and performance work.

I send work over to a tint guy, i tried him out on my cars and he did a great job. Talked to him told I would send him business his way. I tell clients to mention my name, he gets more business and I get a commission. I do let them know that he is not my business for insurance purposes. Keeps me safe and I get extra $$$.
I also have a windshield guy, thing with him he just sends work my way and I do to him. But hey when you need a good hook up then these are the connections that help. Beats paying full price.
Any on know a good system to start the alloy wheel repair??
