I'm surprised you don't use PFMs for drying;they're that great
I like a flat weave for my drying towels. No chance of becoming contaminated over time.
This ties in with how I'm always telling people that how long anything lasts or looks good on car paint, (that's 2 things), always depends on how you TOUCH the paint.
Flat weave = less risk - and less risk over time.
I love how the PFM drying towels work, don't get me wrong, but I only have so much room in my storage cabinets. I have stacks of guzzlers, I don't have stacks of Griot's PFM drying towels.
