Appears coating has failed on original steering wheel on a 2015 VW. Realize it may not be able to be fully repaired, hoping at a minimum to improve the appearance.

15 minutes of cleaning with Griots Interior Cleaner, warm water and 4 coats of Poorboys Natural Look. Improved but will keep trying. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

This would’ve worked. Unfortunately they’re on closeout in the outlet store and it looks like the only color left available is Dove Gray.

Looks like a build up of hand lotion or makeup. Try a damp microfiber with plain water.

Either re-wrap or replace the wheel. I think it’s too damaged to be able to repair.

Carpro Pearl should make that look brand new or close to it.

That seems like it is generously coated with lotion/dirt/grime. Seems strange to have such a significant failure in 4 years of use. Possible yes but I would try the damp microfiber with warm water.
