Anybody ever deal with this kind of disaster?

I sure wouldn't have wanted my kids to be exposed to that. How could anyone ever let their vehicle get like that?

The worst part of that was that they're carting little kids around in the sh** hole. As a father, shame on them.

Kudos to you though, good sir! Well done.

I tried but she accepted the price, dang it!

Wow, wow WOW Derek!

Can't imagine driving around with yourself, MUCH LESS your children in something like that. I'd call DFACS!

I can tell you one thing, she would have NEVER - EVER accepted my price for getting within 15' of that cesspool! (Hint, it'd been darned near what the van is worth, if not more.)

You truly did pay it forward on that one though. :props:

Derek,

Awesome work sir. It's shocking that folks allow things to get to that point.

Thanks my ag fam, it's been an awesome year for my growing detailing business thanks to you guys! I'm on the road to early retirement!!

Congratulations, Sir, good karma, the health of her kids was at stake there. Social work!:xyxthumbs:

This was my thought.... How can you have your kids in that crap hole? Just disgusting! Makes me wonder what their house looks like

Awesome job man... I don't know if I could have taken that on.

It looked about the same, and the lady runs a daycare! Ha

You may have a legal responsibility to call Child Protective Services on this person and file a report. You have just posted visual evidence of neglect and possible child endangerment.

Ha her husbands a cop though

I have done some nasty interiors over the years, but that one might beat them all. That was DISGUSTING!! Props to you man, there's a lot of detailers that would have opened the doors and bolted in the other direction. Very nice work!!

Odd, it posted a shorter version of what I wrote earlier, how'd that happen? hmm....

You may have a legal responsibility to call Child Protective Services or whatever it's called in your area on this person and file a report. You have just posted visual evidence of neglect and possible child endangerment to their safety and well being. Depending on the laws in your area, knowing this and doing nothing can make you legally liable.

I know everybody just jokes and shakes their heads at statements like this, but as a teacher, if I don't file a report if I even suspect a case of neglect is occurring with a student, if anything happens to that kid and they deem I knew but did nothing, my butt is toast. And I'm not talking just loss of job here. We're told we can be held as accessories to the crime. We're told to file the report, even if we're aren't sure just to CYA. They don't play around with child abuse in my neck of the woods.

You really should consider calling, you might make the world a better place for a bunch of kids.

This person should not be running any children in that van.

I see where you noted the husband was a cop, in most instances CPS is a state level organization, and the cops only come in if evidence is found to arrest someone. Another organization entirely does all the investigating.

Your work speaks for itself....I would have used a stick of dynamite....

I work as a automotive tech. Last summer, I had a 2008 Jeep Liberty that I had to pull the dash on in order to replace the evaporator core. It was leaking freon.

I was really hoping that she would decline the job, because it was a hell of a mess inside. Well, she approved it. So, as I'm pulling out the front seats, I find a dead mouse, right next to a pile of chicken bones.

A this point, I'm done. I don't give a s--t what the service manager says, I flat out told him I was not going to work on this car until she had it detailed. The service manager calls her and tells her the situation. Now shes all mad because she has to clean her car before I work on it. And the manager is mad at me because we're going to lose the job.

Long story short, I ended up cleaning the interior out for an additional 4.5 hours of labor. I get paid by flat rate.

A few months later, she came back for ball joints. I open the door, and sure enough, it's trashed out on the inside. It's only because ball joints are on the outside that I worked on the car.

I told my manager that I'll never work on her interior again. She is fired as a customer to me.
