anybody use surf city garage products

Last I heard they started watering down their pro line products...

I agree with this after seeing all those guys in that group we belong to complain about the consistency of certain products changing.

That's a bold statement to make about a company without any real "proof".

What I can say is I used a few of their products in the past, and was not impressed with the durability of them. That's based upon my actual use of the products.

I gave them away to some hobbyist friends.

:iagree:It's hard to make accusations WITHOUT any REAL experience with their products! Gotta love it!

I've used a couple of their products and buy them at Wally World.... good price for the results. I vote for them.

I have an 8oz bottle of Barrier Reef carnauba wax if anybody wants to do a trade.

I wouldn't know about any of that, but I speculate that they'll end up merging relevant items from the pro line, into their enthusiast line, and phase out the pro line altogether.

I'm probably all wrong on that, but that's just the feel I get. Not too much push on the pro line.

sounds like there products are ok

Not one person said they were the best they ever used, but nobody said they were terrible either

Sounds like a average product...

Ill look into them more....but i think for the price, collinite is hard to beat....and thats who i would compare it too....

They kind of shot themselves in the foot with it when they let that guy go.

Without someone like him involved.... It makes things difficult. He has a following of his own. He knows his stuff, and the industry in general. He us also a great communicator. Some tough shoes to fill.

I don't know the circumstances of the parting, but if the decision were made on their end, that heightens my speculation that they may phase out the pro line.

Seems worked out for him though, which is awesome!

I've only used Dash Away and find it to be an excellent product with many uses.

I used the Surf City Nano Drying Towel today for the 1st time.. Even though it appears a bit thin, it doesn't prevent it from being a formidable drying towel. Absolutely no complaints. It's worth the $7 I paid for it.

I have used the Barrier Reef Carnuba Wax and had BEAUTIFUL results with it. Didnt like the liquid Barrier Reef!

I use the Speed Demon Wax Detailer and it leaves a beautiful, deep shine and super easy to use!

The Beyond Black Tire shine..in either the spray or liquid does an excellent job in giving a nice black sheen to the tires.

The window cleaner is nothing special.

The Nano sealant and glaze combo did a GREAT job on my last truck, a 2013 GMC Sierra SLT. Left a very nice shine and durability was excellent. I just used the combo..then used Speed Demon to touch up in between washes.

The chrome polish is excellent. It leaves the chrome with such a deep shine that it almost has a blue hue to the chrome. Excellent product.

Dash away is great for touching up dusty seats or dashboards. Has a nice scent to it, so your ride has a clean smell. I use TONS of that!

The Top End cleaner I have used on my last trucks vinyl tonneau cover. as well as my spas vinyl cover. It cleans well and leaves a nice satin sheen to the black finish.

The Voo Doo leather rejuvenator is pretty good as well. I feel that there are other leather conditioners that might do a better job..but this one exceeds pretty much every thing that is sold at the auto parts stores. It smells great! Just like a fresh leather interior.

I have used the Hot Rod spray detailer..but I am NOT impressed with the shine or the feel that it leaves. I prefer the Speed Demon as a final detailer.

I used to buy these products at Advance Auto Parts. They couldnt keep it on the shelves. They discontinued selling it as they couldnt get enough product to keep the demand...so they dropped it. NAPA carried it and may still do so. THEN Wally World started carrying it!! OH JOY!!! They do not carry the more expensive Nano sealant/Glaze kit..but they do carry a bulk of the line-up.

Surf City makes a great product...but I just joined this forum today...in search of that ULTRA GREAT product to use on my new truck. I went out today and bought some more Speed Demon..but I also received from AG, the Pinnacle Crystal Mist and the Finish Kare Final Body Shine as well as the Pinnacle Sovereign Paste Wax...so I'll be comparing these over the next few days! I also bought the Pinnacle Black Label leather care kit...so I'll be trying THAT out tomorrow as well. I'm excited to see all the new stuff on this site!

You will find much better products here.

Yea i already found collinite 845....which in 1 word is unbelievable.

I think, based on what ive read, and the amount of products i go thru, im going to start using meguires professional line.

Most can be diluted, prices are really good, and they come in bulk sizes...

I like chemical guys also, never any issues with their products...but it would be nice to consolidate down to 1 or 2 brands

cant wait to try meguires hyperwash, non acid wheel cleaner, express spray wax

But first i got to use up what i have.....I just need some decent weather here in michigan!
