Anybody used the 3M Brushless Sander?

Wondering about performance both in sanding applications and polishing. This is the sander: 3M Electric Random Orbital 6 Inch Non-Vacuum Sander Kit 28526, paint sanding

A lighter alternative without using air...sounds like a winner to me.rops:

Well I dont know about polishing. It lacks the power to spin the pad.

Sanding it is great, I know a lot of guys who have them, but at almost $600, you may want to look a Mirka sander from kevin brown

If I remember right, the Mirka version is about $500...I'd have to do more research to determine if the cost difference is worth the lack of a US service center.

Anyone else tried it? I've used air sanders to successfully polish paint and this is supposed to be an equivalent replacement without the need for air...
