Has anyone ever detailed a limo? If so how much did you charge for a full detail, been looking to detail some limos but don't want to under bid. Can anyone help?

I just drove one home last night. I detailed the customers '53 Ford F100 and he gave me the keys to the '87 Lincoln Limo to drive home after delivering the truck.

I'm not sure on the price yet, as we have to give it a good look over and I want to see what his expectations and budget is. The limo is just his toy for going to dinner or golf with friends. It only has 36k miles and has never been a commercial vehicle, just a private toy.

I don't know if I'd want to do a rental "party limo" for a business.

I charge anywhere from $150.00 and up. For small limos and did a small strech one for $350. Haven't done any lately of any streched expeditions though.

never done a limo before but if i had to give an estimate since they are twice as much paint to polish as a "normal" car then twice the price

What exactly is the customer looking to do? Full correction, 1-step, 2-step, full interior? These things help figure a price range.

I would do exterior only detailing on something like that -- too much chance of vomit or other miscellaneous bodily fluids on the interior when we're talking about a rental.

Hourly rate for sure.

ZimRandy, I LOVE you avatar. Bubbles is AWESOME lol one of the best kept secret shows ever haha

No, but a friend bought one (used), and wanted me to tell him what to do to it. Lots of paint; lots of carpet; but what really stood out to me was lots of leather. Looked like a product eater. That $350 range has to be close.

Have you done this before, and just curious what was the reaction of the customer? I am wondering because if I owned a limo and you couldn't handle the interior, I would definitely go to a business that would provide a full service detail. Interiors are just as importain to be spotless as the exteriors since image is everything to a business like that.

I have done them in the past and honestly the interiors aren't all that bad... A pair of gloves and some good disenfectant sprayed everywhere will do the job before starting!... Full 2 step PC and interior on a stretch was about 400.00 for white and silver on black it was 500.00...

Yeah, I agree with you. I've done a couple limos in and out...it really wasn't all that bad. Some gloves, and you're good to go. They tend to clean them up somewhat themselves frequently for obvious reasons. I know they most likely don't extract carpets and such...but, still an easy job. You just go through a lot of leather conditioner, ha.
