Hi all, I've decided spur of the moment (about 20 minutes ago) to take a road trip tomorrow to Buffalo NY to see a band called Project Object, a Frank Zappa tribute band. Anyway, my question would be...How is Buffalo? Is it like gangland where it's not safe to drive through at night or is it like your typical city hustle bustle, drive through mind my own bussiness and all is well type of place? I'm no sissy or anything but I sure would hate to drive into the wrong neighborhood and get carjacked or something of that sort.

I'll be traveling up route 15 out of Central PA all the way up on 15 to a place called Nietzsche's at 248 Allen St, Buffalo NY. So anyone here know Buffalo? Any exits or particular areas to steer clear of. Thanks for any info or suggestions any of you may have to offer. TD

Lived in the area years ago,,, I see that area is close to Roswell Park (Roswell medical center) Not the best area to be driving as I am told. You will be close to Anchor bar original buffalo wings.
Anchor Bar - Home of the Buffalo Chicken Wing

Will Buffalo take the place of the mudsharks in your mythology? A vigurous circular motion?:xyxthumbs:

have fun!

thanks for the reply, I guess it's not as bad as the Kensington section of Philly as I am told. I'll have to keep my doors locked and run all redlights.

And the doggy wee wee (I mean the Husky wee wee) has blinded me... and I can't see, temporarily. These guys do Inca Roads and it's as if Frank himself was there himself conducting it. Awesome show if you ever get a chance to see it, do so.

Thanks for the laugh, TD

I go to UB and I have been down there before to perform with the jazz band. It's not the greatest area but as with anywhere else, keep an eye out. Even the owner of Nietzsche's admits it's not the greatest area but by no means is it horribly dangerous.

It's not that bad of an area. Just use common sense and park in an area that's around people. Lots of people go to party on Allen street. Great place to see a band.

I live in east amherst, just outside the city. if you stick to the main areas you will be fine. Alot of history here. I would say if you have time, your only about 30 min from the falls.

If you have any questions, send me a pm. I can give you my cell.

If someone tries to jack you Dave, shoot them in the face, or run them over like they do in the video games

Have fun on your trip! Is Jack going to get to go?
