Im desperate lol! My partner is on vacation - and everyone else just happens to be off this weekend.... but Im stuck detailing 2 large corporate buses - could really use a hand if anyone has the day available! Let me know - thanks in advance!
 
$125 for the day?!?!?! And maybe full time employment - any bites?!?!!?
 
B&B your doing what you have to do as a man to provide for your family. I'm new here, but i've read a lot of your post and you seem like good people. I'm not sure how someone can preach the name and say some off the wall crap like that.

My advice is to not bring up a man's family or how he treats them here or else people are likely to think your a sanctimonious jerk. If I lived in Tennessee, I'd go give him a hand.
 
Folks, let's not take Flash's comments out of context. Sort of like the saying, "Take a kid hunting, and you'll never have to hunt for your kid." Doesn't mean a kid who doesn't get a chance to hunt will get into trouble...it means give the kids some substance of life...what ever and where ever that substance may come from, perhaps detailing.

I think Flask was offering some good words of wisdom and caution. He may have even been speaking from experience. I'm sure Flash is well aware of how busy Anthony has been as of late and that he's trying to grow his business. I read Flash's comments as looking out for a fellow detailer with a friendly reminder to not work too much and sacrifice family time. In a blunt way speaking the truth of what can happen. Truth is...the truth hits hard at times and some people can't deal with it.

Nothing wrong with a reminder like that, but ultimately Anthony has to make those decisions. He's his own man.

Anthony, keep up the good work. That job on the Airstream turned out real slick.

Good opportunity for someone. Anthony is putting his heart and soul into this business. Finding the right person may just pay off bigtime for some fortunate person.
 
I agree with Hoytman whole-heartedly.

The camaraderie shared by both Flash and Anthony is well documented on the forums.

No offense or ill will on my part intended to fellow forum members for their opinions on this matter.
 
Id be all over this if I was in Tennessee!! I detail on sunday and monday and actually have a day off tomorrow!
 
Flash was just trying to say "don't overwork yourself, take a day off and spend it with your family before your children grow old, they grow so fast" and "your wife misses you, she knows you need to provide family income but she needs some attention and family time with the father too"

That all Flash meant to say really, I am sure he has had no ill intentions to come and attack a man and insult his family. We're all good people here on AG ;)

Im kinda taken back by some of the comments in this thread. It's sometimes hard to infer exactly what somebody is trying to say or how they mean it reading it off a computer screen. With that said one this is for sure, Flash could have used a little more tact in his statement. This is a detailing forum, not a how to on raising a family. The reference to gang members?? come on!
 
If I see someone I like making a mistake, I'm not going to just sit by and let it happen. If this makes you not like me then so be it. I don't have the need in my life to be loved by everyone

If Anthony had said he was working this Sunday because it had rained all week or the rent was due tommorow, that would be one thing, but to work 7 days a week just to keep score, I assure you one day you'll regret it

I appreciate those of you who understood what I was trying to say. This freakin internet is the hardest thing in the world for me to get my point accross sometimes. I don't hate Anthony or his family for crying out loud...

Its crazy how this thread moved in the wrong direction so quick :/ I understand that Flash is only trying to help, only it came out very wrong and harsh in my eyes. I hope his advice wasn't from his own experience, and if so Im sorry for that. I respect Flash's opinions in this forum, he is very knowledgeable - Id even like him to come over to dinner and meet my family one day to show him how great they are..... I feel very lucky to have wonderful kids and a significant other that we can truly say we are in love each other - Im doing all this hard work now to give them a great life and will continue to do so until I have reached my goals for them.





Now for the original thread purpose :


No bites on coming out for the day!?!?!?! Well - gonna have to push another long night :/
