Here is a motor i just had to replace under warranty .Had to send a report to sweden on it .

i had pieces like that whn the engine blew in my race car, broke the cam into 5 pieces lol..yes i can laugh now cried then.
 
I always laugh when I see people go to enterprise to buy their used rentals. Those cars get beat up!

No it was still a rental our cars are very well made this is a rare one .After just about 30 years with volvo i can really count on one hand how many engines fail from defects.Yes from abuse and lack of service
 
Thanks HarleyGuy for the pictures, these always entertain me.

I have a piston hanging in my garage of what happens when the cylinder has too much nitrous oxie and not enough fuel, ill have to snap a picture and post it up in here.
 
OUCH !! Looks like the piston came apart or gaulded to cause that mess .

Never pulled it off when i saw what the bottom end looked like.As for yor piston i was crew chief on a Pro Mod i know what pistons look like.LOL I don't have the pics anymore but we took a stock 5cyl turbo volvo motor T5 i was able to import a larger Garrett turbo left everything stock ran the boost up to 15 lbs you should of seen the pistons on that when it let go at a 140mph LOL'nothing left cyl walls were gone but from what i was told i wasn't in the car it keep going for another 30 miles before it had enough.I will double check my folders see if i may have them still
 
Haha, you gotta find those pictures. pro mod cars are just insane, one of the best classes out there in my opinion.

Well 'am going to keep itas stock as i can it's an 05 16,000 miles red interior black outside rare combo .So far magnaflow was trying to decde on a cold air intake was going with the vortex $539.00 ouch the problem is you have too cut the radiator shield i don't want to do that if i ever want it back to stock big hole = new shield = $$$$ So drop in's for now.Hook up Hp tuner Program and tweaked everything so far No cags, injector %,Air flow etc Will hit the dyno soon
 
sounds awesome. a friend of mine has hp tuner for his 01. he is more than happy. especially with not having much mods to it other than that. you will have to let us know how it does on the dyno
