Anyone try a hybrid wax?

This is what many so called hybrids are. This is new marketing terminology for a class of product which has been available for probably more than 20 years. However, there are new products out there which basically use a single component, not a blend, which has characteristic of both wax and polymer. In fact, such products can outperform both. Unfortunately, the overuse of the 'hybrid' term means that the consumer has no idea if the product is just a variant on decades old methodologies or something which is genuinely a technical advancement.

Ah, great explanation!

Of the products I've used, Turtle Wax's Ice Paste. It reminds me of a synthetic version of Zymol in terms of water repellency, but lasts much longer.
