Just curious. I have a Trans Am with SUPER INSANELY hard clear coat. Takes several M105 passes with my PC7424XP and orange LC 5.5" flat pad to make any progress. Figured I'd up the ante with a Surbuf pad and either use M105 or D300 compound that I just recently ordered. Now I'm sitting here why I didn't just order the damn Meguiars MF cutting discs too. As of right now though, another AG order is out of the question until I build my "detailing fund" back up! Below is a list of products I have on hand. I've read all of Mike's PC and Swirl removal threads which have been very helpful. I've noticed alot of the products I have currently have done great on my daily driver Saturn and the wifes 2012 Camry. Just trying to get my WS6 on that level..

PC7424XP
LC Orange, White, Black Flat Pads 5.5"
Surbuf 5.5" Cutting Pads
M105/M205/D300/Ultimate Compound/Swirl X
Menzerna PO85RD
BFWD

Can someone please advise if they have ever used the Surbuf + 105 or D300 combo with any sucess?!?

I haven't used the combo you're considering, but have you tried using yellow pads? I've found a substantial jump in compounding ability by going to the yellow pad, versus using an orange pad.

IMO the Megs MF System cutting discs and the D300 work great, much better cutting ability than the orange pads and little to no dusting. Just make sure to keep cleaning the microfiber on the discs.

You probably will not get any more of a aggressive combo then Surbuf with M105. Probably Purple foam wool pad and M105. i'm not counting M101 as it can not be had here in the US.

Does the Surbuf and M105 work? Yes! But depending on the paint you will have to finish it down with a less aggressive pad and compound combo. On my softer Accord paint, I finished it down 2 steps with Megs Ultimate Compound on a orange hydrotech, then M205 with a red hydrotech. If it was to do it again, I would finish off with Mez PO85RD. It's just impressive on how well it finishes down.

I have used Surbuf and 105 on headlights and small areas of paint transfer. Works great. Haven't needed it for an entire vehicle.

I've used Surbuf pads with M105 several times, it will provide the most correction you can get out of your PCXP. I've used it on both of my GM trucks and my daughters severely neglected Scion with good luck. It will not solve the dusting issues, I just spritz some Distilled water when I start to see or notice the dusting to finsh off the pass. You will need to follow up with less aggressive pad/polish combos though as it will mar.
I've never tried the MF discs but folks I know who have them say using those with the right polishes you can truly get a one-step with correction, yet to try and doing is believing in my book.

MF Disc and D300 worked fine on my WS.6, but I was using a GG6 not a PC

I realize that a Surbuf pad and M105 is a super agressive combo. Has anyone tried surbuf and D300? I just need to try and use the materials and products I have right now.

I've used the surbuff pads on my PC with both M105 and D300. The M105 and surbuff pad combo is pretty aggressive.

I used it on a 2011 Yukon Denali which had a key scratch down the side. I wanted to try to stay away from wet sanding if I could, so I first tried the D300 on a MF cutting disk. It did OK, but didn't do what I needed. So, I stepped up to a surbuff and D300, which worked better, but there were still some deeper parts of the scratch that didn't come out. So, finally I hit it with M105 and surbuff and it came out pretty easily after a few passes. Then followed it up with an orange LC pad and D300, then finally M205 on a white LC pad.

As always I'd just be careful with this combo on items such as plastic bumpers. Plastics tend to heat up a lot quicker than a metal panel does...ask me how i know!

Awesome results there. I'm getting my car back from the mechanic anyday now so I'll give it a try soon.
