Just wondering. I'm not getting a leaf blower or metro blower thing any time soon. So does anyone use a QD after a wash as a drying aid? I was wondering with QDs were good for this purpose. FK 425? WG, Pinnacle, or DP?

I frequently use AquaWax and ReLoad. Not really QD's I guess, but they sure help boost the protection.

I was using OID with a microfiber towel. Now I use distilled water for the final rinse. No more OID, no more towel. Although I am considering using OID again cuz it did give it a nice gloss.

I use use a blower to get the cars 90% dry and then use FK425 or DG AquaWax and ReLoad to finish it up. IMO it works great.

I still like either of these Meg's Products (all completely water soluble):
#34 Final Inspection
A33 Quik Detailer
D155 Last Touch Detailing Spray

Used in conjunction with a "dampened"(to help reduce the risk of micro-marring) WW MF towel while immediately following with a MF or all cotton polishing towel (apply some more QD if so desired/needed)...done one panel at a time. :)

One has to assume this procedure, as well as washing the vehicle, is best done, if at all possible, out of direct sunlight.

I tried Meguiar's QD and UQD, didn't like it, so I went back to blotting with the WW. Last night I tried Prima Hydro after blotting dry. Damp, soft mf and buff with a dry mf. I don't know if I was doing something wrong with the QD but the Hydro worked better for me. I guess FK425 would be similar - I wonder if anyone's tried both.

spray onr or other rinseless/waterless (waterbased) at wash level.

I used Aquawax as a drying aid for years.
The only con was it would tend to clog my guzzler to where it didn't absorb H2O as quickly. An extra wash cycle by itself (the Guzzler) always corrected it.

I used OG Showtime and Megs Final Inspection for about 10 years.

I next tried CG Speed Wipe, but it streaked on me. Others love it.

I now prefer OIDE in Southern California, but I'm told that it may sometimes streak for those who live with higher humidity. I'm told that AquaWax works better for humid areas.

AquaWax works quite well but I prefer the look of OIDE or OCW with the finishes on my vehicles. Others use waterless washes like UWW+ and OOC. Even diluted ONR will provide a level of lubrication.

I normally used OCW and a soft MF when I was blowing water off the car with a leaf blower. I hurt my shoulder so I can't use the blower now but I still use OCW as my go to spray wax after washing.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I will be trying some new QDs, it seems.:dblthumb2:

I use GG spray on wax or whatever it's called. When I don't have any I will use QD but I'm not partial to anything specific
