Anyone use ARO as a wheel cleaner?

If it's clearcoat safe then, what do you think cut 10 to 1 or 30 to 1 for LSP stripping. I'd be mixing it in a Foam Gun with 2 ounces of DP Extreme Foam or Mothers California Gold.

nrengle, are you sure that ARO even strips wax? Some of these heavier-duty exterior cleaners don't even strip wax. For example, I know from experience that P21S Total Auto Wash and Meguiar's APC+ don't have enough cleaning power to strip wax. But I do know that Optimum PowerClean will strip wax in a heartbeat!

I used ARO for the first step in under the hood detailing and it worked really well. :righton:

Emile, I'm just guessing here, but the way that it removes old dressings that are thoroughly soaked into the tires, I'd think it's going to strip some LSP's.

I was an ARO user but never felt 100% confortable using it on customer wheels due to the fact that it was not made for rims etc...

Here is a comparison of ARO and SC cleaner that I did almost two years ago

One thing I will add is that I went through 3 gallons of ARO so I had plenty of time to play with it...

I realized that when I pre-mixed it with water in a spray bottle it seemed to lose some of its cleaning power over time... When I got to thinking about it I came to the conclusion that it may be due to the fact that the cleaning agents are activated when combined with water.

Good review, somehow missed it. Yes, it will lose some cleaning power due to it being water activated. SC makes some great products and you can find them OTC.
