anyone have experience using the zymol brand preferably the cleaner wax? can it be applied by hand not by machine?

it can be applied by hand or machine

I think it's made by turtle wax though. Never used it but would assume it stains trim so take care around it. Also saw that it made the thread about items you wish you'd never bought.

If you have it already then use it. Should work fine for what it is...

The pics above show the new bottles and updated labels for the Zymol OTC line which indeed is sold locally at mass retailers and a product licensed from another brand.

Junk!!! If you want Zymol start with Titanium.

I thought the OP was in search of application methods info for a Zymol cleaner-wax. I may have be mistaken, though.

Lol I used this stuff so much before becoming an AutoGeek. I applied by hand and thought it did an excellent job, it may have with the right steps prior to

application and an LSP but I would use it as an AIO, looking back it was probably a mess. As stated in the previous thread this stuff is nasty on trim.

For some reason or another, I've never used any Zymol product, not even OTC, in my lifetime...
The pics I posted was for entertaining the idea that the OP would clarify which bottle/product he had purchased.

I used it about 10 years ago and it was OK. It's available at most retail stores and is a bit pricey and for what it does I'd say it was just OK. I think I gave it away with about half the bottle left....

I didn't like the way it stained any sort of plastic or rubber trim.

I am doing great Tim, how about you?

What's going on in your neck of the woods today? Cloudy and cool here with high today about 45. I may break out some rinseless wash and give my truck a bath...:props:

I've not bought this product just looking for a product to remove fine scratches in paint when seen in sunlight...not many but do have a few here and there and no swirls. wanting to use product by hand for i don't have a buffer.

about to do the same. The missus just went out to run some errands which means I'm running out to the garage...

Anyone use Zymols top end products? I notice AG doesn't sell them and I'm guessing there is a good reason why. Are they any good? Overpriced? How about Swissvax. They make special products for different manufacturers "paint systems". Really? Is it just a gimmick? Or should I try the two hundred dollar Blau Weiss?

Zymol and Swissvax both make great products that have a very large following. My guess as to why AG doesn't carry them is due to price. People here have a lot of problems even wanting to pay for BFMS or Souveran, so I doubt many woulf pay the $400+ pricetags of many of the products from Zymol and SV. If you look at other forums, many people love both lines and some use nothing else.

I own and have owned many waxes from Zymol and Swissvax and they are very high quality. Are they worth the price? Well that comes down to what each individual person thinks. Some people want them just so they can be in some exclusive club, while other just think they are the best products they have ever used.

I tried and used it years ago (the cleaner wax) and applied by hand back then and although it seemed to do a good job, it dusted like crazy, never seen anything like it then or now. I guess you'll just need to rinse down the car when done and all that dust will be washed away, then dry it off and your all set:xyxthumbs:
